Good Looking Closet System
This is a good-looking closet organization set that allows users to create their own custom closet. My closet is 5 feet wide, and I really wouldn’t recommend this set for anything smaller unless you plan on putting the tower all the way to one side and only putting shelves &/or rods on the other. You assemble and place the center part of the set, and then you can arrange the remaining shelves however you want. Because of the size of my closet and my decision to forgo two of the shelves pictured

in the model, I had 3.75 shelves leftover.
Assembly was pretty straightforward, though tedious at times. Mercifully (and amazingly), all the predrilled holes were sized right and lined up perfectly, so that's a big plus. For the most part, it’s a one-man job. A couple steps of the center tower installation are easier with an extra set of hands, but it’s not absolutely necessary. If you plan on using all the pieces this set ships with, I would allow a minimum of 3.5 hours for installation from start to finish.
As with most DIY closet kits, the shelving is made out of laminated particle board, so you’ll want to be careful when you’re assembling &/or cutting it that it doesn’t get scratched up or wet. The shelves cut well for the most part, though the laminate finish was nicked by the saw blade in a few places. Cutting it so that the saw first made contact with the underside of the board seemed to work best. I also had to cut the rods down to fit my space, so if your closet is on the smaller side, you’ll need to be prepared to cut metal.
I took a PACKED closet with a shoe rack and a single wire shelf/hanger and wound up with a decent (but not overwhelming) amount of room leftover after everything was put into the new organization system. If your closet is already overflowing and you don’t have sweaters, towels, shoes, handbags, etc. that are practical to store in the center shelves, it might not save you any space though.
Lastly, I’m 5’2” and don’t stand a chance of reaching the shelf above the top two rods without a step stool. It’s good for linens that I rarely use, but just an FYI for all my fellow short kids out there: this set is tall.
Overall, it’s worth the effort. If you’re looking for an upscale custom closet solution that won’t break the bank, this one fits the bill!
