    Wow
This thing is absolutely awesome. It is rock solid. Solid metal construction, feels like you could do a lot of damage swinging this thing around. The adjustable jaw works very well, and has less than a 1/32" of wobble, which is absolutely amazing for an adjustable wrench. The coating looks and feels like it will come off on your hands or gloves, like a black soot, but i does not. Under sweaty use the finish stays on the wrench and off your hands. The pointed end is great. I probably wont ever ... read more to line up holes in metal, like the packaging pictures, but it makes it very easy to find something to stick on the end of the wrnech to give you a lot of extra leverage. Any piece of conduit or pipe can turn this wrench into a huge breaker bar. The scale etched on the side is decent, but I always just hole the wrench on the head of the bolt I am going to be using it on. Great wrench to have around.

    Great Idea
I have just found this tool from a friend and it is one of the greatest tools I've used. Instead of five or six tools in my tool box I only have the one. Less room and lighter in weight.

    very useful
and i like the color too. it matches my tool box decor. review a wrench? uh.... it does exactly what one would have expected from a spud wrench that is also adjustable.

Decent value and quality for a home user
Out of the package, these pliers seem to be of decent value and quality. Chrome finish appears to be good and jaw adjustment is easy with the thumb using one hand. Jaws do have a little slop to them though and are not as good when they previously were made in the USA and now China. In use, these pliers seem to hold up to moderate use but if using for a high torque application, then upgrading to a fixed wrench or socket will be needed to avoid break these pliers. For home use, these should do ... read more fine. For tradesman use, I would invest in a little better quality adjustable that holds to a tighter tolerance.

    An excellent all around wrench!
While the 8" Crescent wrench is my 'most often used' adjustable wrench sometimes I need a little more width or a little more leverage and that's when the 10" Crescent wrench (Item # AC210VS) comes into play. I acquired this particular wrench as a duplicate of one hanging in my garage - every time I needed one in the basement the tool was in the garage, and vice-versa. I have rated the Quality with "5 bars", based on the overall strength and capabilities of the wrench. However this particular ... read more wrench came with a small mar in the chrome finish. I did not remove a bar from the rating because the mar is quite small, doesn't impact the usability of the wrench in any way and, I suspect, is not typically a problem with Crescent wrenches. (I received three other Crescent wrenches of different sizes at the same time and none of them had a marred finish). However if you are more particular than I the Crescent wrenches are guaranteed "Forever" and returning a new one due to a finish imperfection shouldn't be a problem. I've attached a photo wherein you can see the small blemish at the top of the wrench head. I should note that the 10" Crescent wrench is made in China, but I don't see any issues with the strength of the tool. It is "heat treated forged alloy steel" with a chrome finish and feels solid and durable. I've leaned on Crescent wrenches pretty hard in the past and have yet to break one (I'm sure it can be done, I've just never done it myself). Unlike the smaller 6" and 8" wrenches this 10" wrench did not come equipped with a rubberized handle. In cold weather the chrome handle can be pretty uncomfortable to grip unless one is wearing gloves. (Home Depot sells a plastic/rubber "dipping" material that I've read good things about and I intend to give it a try on my Crescent wrenches that did not come with rubberized grips). The 10" wrench comes with a laser engraved scale so that you can 'dial in' the width of the jaws (from closed to 1 5/16" inches) before applying to the work. I've come to like this feature - when you're working under a sink or some such and cannot easily get to the knurled knob to make adjustments easily it's nice to not to have to guess at exactly where (for instance) a 1" opening would be. I'm fond of the Crescent wrench design; while I have fairly complete set of open/box wrenches the adjustable Crescent wrench design allows me to carry one or two wrenches to the job rather than take several open/box wrenches in the hope that I've included the correct ones in the group. A nice tool to have! HTH Regards, Jim

    professional wrench
There's a reason many guys refer to all adjustable wrenches, regardless of brand, as "crescent wrenches" because Crescent has been the standard for so many years. This 10-inch wrench will tackle a wide variety of nuts and bolts up to 1-5/8", as well as can hold and bend other flat or parallel surfaces up to that width as well. I like almost everything about this wrench from the wide handle that doesn't cut into your palm turning stubborn bolts, to the also wide jaws that firmly grip the surface. ... read more I also like the laser-etched numbers on the jaws, in case you need to know what size it is quickly without measuring, and the jaws move freely and easily but are not loose as they can be on cheaper models. The one thing I don't like is that it's made in China, though it is made of heat-treated forged alloy steel so it should take plenty of punishment. All in all a great wrench, you'll probably want one in each size for different situations.

The Crescent ratcheting socket wrench is an excellent invention. It is a wonderful tool with many uses and can be easily used by either left or right handed users.

    It Works!
I returned a set of 3 to another store as they would not hold adjustment. Theses three cost less that this one wrench but I consider it a good exchange. It holds adjustment and is fast to change sizes. So far it looks durable but only time will confirm that.

    Great value
Got the job done, cost lots less than the alternatives. Feels sturdy and durable. Great finish.

    Hefty!
This is a great addition to the tool box. I have a set of wrenches in fixed sizes, which is great when you know exactly what you'll need, but for those "mystery bolts," having a good, adjustable wrench is vital. I especially like the cushioned grip and the sizes etched in the wrench for those times you actually know the size. It eliminates the guesswork.

    Effective tool
There are few things more frustrating than discovering you don't own a tool you thought you did, particularly since that typically happens when you're right in the middle of a project. For us, that project was unpacking and installing our new portable dishwasher. Turns out we didn't need this adjustable wrench after all (a pair of pliers worked better), but still it's a handy tool to have around.

    Solid Product
The crescent wrench is has a nice grip and works well. I wonder, though, if a crescent wrench exists out there with the same strength and size capability, but with a shorter handle

    Good and heavy wrench
I have been in need of a bigger adjustable Wrench for some time now, I have been using a 10" and a 12" Adjustable wrenches and sometimes having to work hard at times to break an old valve free and as you get older you find that injories cost more than a wrench so with age comes wisdom and with that knowledge I decided it was time to get some new wrenches and I had picked up this 12" and a 15" Crescent adjustable wrench.

    Typical Crescent quality
My biggest problem with adjustable wrenches in the past was jaw wobble and jaws that would not stay parallel. Of course they were not Crescent either. The adjusting knurl is large and well knurled. There is a reference scale on the side with pointer on movable jaw that is pretty accurate and handy for presetting in awkward situation. The actual jaw opening is 1 9/16". There is also an arrow on the handle showing the direction of torque for safest use of wrench and the grip is wide and heavy. And ... read more hey, they have a FOREVER guarantee.

    A precision engineered workhorse
I have seen less expensive adjustable wrenches of this size, but none as well made and this wrench, which lives up to the standards of the Crescent brand. The finish is excellent and when I put the jaws under tension by torquing a large nut they were parallel to better then a hundredth of an inch as measure by my digital calipers. Accuracy and finish aside, this tool is meant for hard work. My current house was part of a ranch and the property contains a wealth of junked farm equipment that I ... read more regularly harvest for metal parts for new projects. The monkey wrench I had been using would damage the nuts and bolts but this wrench gets the fasteners apart without damage. It is going to see a lot of use.

    Good solid heavy duty wrench.
This is a well made heavy duty adjustable wrench. The jaws adjust smoothly and hold firmly with no play or give when tightened on a bolt or nut. It is a good size for larger nuts or bolts and is easy to grip with the hands. It is very well constructed and should last for many years. If you need a heavy duty adjustable wrench at a reasonable price I would recommend this wrench without question.

    What a Wrench!
RE: 18-inch Crescent Adjustable Wrench This appears to be a durable adjustable wrench. Very heavy. Large knurl has a smooth action. Wrench has a textured handle for easy gripping. I used it straight out the box to remove a ball hitch from a receiver. It broke the bolt loose with little effort. This is a good wrench to have for those heavy duty jobs. I recommend it.
