    Straight up beast
After burning up two sets of dewalt drills and impacts as well as porter cable and makita I have yet to be able to come close to hurting my Bosch set. They are awesome they go through the ringer day in and day out without missing a beat.Highly recommend for the pro or the homeowner. They are worth every penny.Oh yeah and the hammer drill is better than the smaller electric hammers by far if you need drills Bosch is the only way to go.

    High quality professional tools
When my Bosch 18-volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Drill/Driver and Impact Driver Combo Kit arrived the two 4.0Ah lithium-ion FatPack batteries were partially charged. One out of three battery indicator lights was lit. A trip to the included charger got them fully charged in under a half-hour each. The 1/2" hammer-drill ships with a variable position detachable side handle and an adjustable depth limiting rod. The 1/4" impact driver ships with a removable belt clip and a double-ended #2 Phillips bit ... read more which stores neatly at the rear of the driver. Also included is an 18 volt charger and an equipment bag for easy portability of the complete set. There are seperate instruction manuals for the drill, impact driver and charger. If you're familiar with LI batteries you'll know that unlike NiCads they don't lose power as the battery drains, they just suddenly quit. I won't buy anything that comes with NiCad batteries anymore, lithium-ion is the only way to go, they are far superior. I've read many negative reviews relating to battery operated tools and almost all of them refer to poor battery performance. I think the biggest problem is that users are treating their lithium-ion batteries as they were taught to care for their NiCad batteries. They're two different animals and need to be cared for differently. I found the following use and care tips on the Internet. 1: Keep your batteries at room temperature. That means between 68 and 77 degrees F. The worst thing that can happen to a lithium-ion battery is to have a full charge and be subjected to elevated temperatures. So don't leave your battery in your car if it's hot out. Heat is by far the largest factor when it comes to reducing lithium-ion battery life. 2: Avoid charging a hot battery. Whether from heavy usage or hot storage it's best to allow the battery to cool down before attempting to charge it. I normally try to cycle three batteries during the work day. One in the tool, one cooling down and one on the charger. 3: Allow partial discharges and avoid full ones (usually). We were taught to run our NiCads all the way down before giving them a full charge. With lithium-ions it's better to recharge before the battery is exhausted and partial charges are no problem since theseunlike NiCads, don't have a memory. 4: Avoid completely discharging lithium-ion batteries. It's time to cool down and then recharge them when you detect the battery is providing less than optimal performance. 5: For extended storage, discharge a lithium-ion battery to about 40 - 50 percent and store it in a cool place. Storing a battery in the discharged state can push it to the point where it won't recharge, and storing a battery fully charged can shorten its life. I have many lithium-ion powered tools and other devices and as of yet I haven't been disappointed with battery performance. I attribute this to proper care. I've only owner this kit for a short time so I haven't had the chance to torture test it yet but based on the performance of my other Bosch tools and the excellent 5 star reviews for this kit I don't anticipate any problems. These Bosch tools are very well made and will take a beating, trust me I know from experience. With a PROVANTAGE signup registration the tools are warranted for 3 years and the batteries for 2.

Solid, high quality hammer drill and impact driver
I've previously used DeWalt 20V Max cordless tools, but a friend always raves about his Bosch tools, so I decided to try this kit. In short, both the Bosch Hammer Drill and Impact Driver included in this kit are very solid, well made, and work great. The fit and finish and build quality are excellent. No rough edges, seams, rattles, flex, or any issues that I could find. The design of both drivers is very good, with comfortable rubberized grip areas, well placed trigger, and easy to reach ... read more forward / reverse switch. This kit includes the larger "Fat Pack" 4.0 Ah batteries, which is a nice addition for the kit, and I suspect will be valuable to keep the large hammer drill running longer. The trigger / motor response on both drivers is very smooth--it's very easy to feather the trigger to control the speed. I only have a few minor criticisms: 1. The impact driver is about 6 ounces heavier than my DeWalt impact driver. The additional weight is noticeable, so if weight is a concern, or if you are carrying the impact driver on a belt all day, this may be a consideration. 2. The hammer drill is a full 5 pounds. It is a beast. While the large size and heavy weight does make it very smooth and steady when drilling wood, and likely helps when using the hammer drill feature, I would only recommend this larger "Brute Tough" hammer drill model if you know that you are going to regularly need a hammer drill. If you only use hammer drill occasionally, I would recommend checking out the smaller "Compact Tough" hammer drill. If you use hammer drills rarely, I would go with the standard drill/driver and just buy a separate inexpensive hammer drill for that rare use. The 5 pound hammer drill is bulky and heavy, and isn't something I would want to use constantly on woodworking, framing, etc. where the hammer feature is not required. 3. The battery charger is the largest I've seen. It's larger than my DeWalt and Rigid chargers, and sounds like it is mostly hollow. If you have to take the charger to job sites, I suspect it will be annoyingly large. It does have an internal fan, but I really wish they would work on making the chargers more compact. And just like every other charger I have seen, it does not have any option for wall mounting. So if you want to mount it in your shop or garage to save space, you'll have to make your own mounting solution. Overall the Bosch drivers are excellent and certainly as good, if not slightly better in some respects, than my DeWalt cordless tools.

    Handy Reliable pair
These tools do the job, reliably. I have used mine to drill 3500 1/4 inch holes in HARD concrete with NO problems. Batteries lasted a LOT longer than expected. My 4 inch hole saw boggs it down a bit but then again that is a lot of work. The lighted trigger is very useful in low light.

    Rolls Royce of battery tools
This is the by far the best tools you will ever use. The guys at my job ask if I have stock in Milwaukee. I made them by all the 18v tools you sell and got rid of the Dewalt. Now we are buying seconds of everything because guys are fighting over who has the cordless versus the corded. We fix the large container cranes for the largest shipping company in the world and these tools have taken alot of the effort we put in out.

    Great tools
Light weight, powerful, long battery life, what more can you ask for. Hammer drill feature worked well drilling through concrete. The saw has been useful in the yard with a pruning blade.

    A handy Combo
Both tools have performed well thus far. The quick blade release on the sawsall is fantastic.

very powerful for just 12 volts
I was in the market for an impact drill and driver, after my 24 volt drill/impact died, and always had my eyes on the 18 volt Dewalt. I am an avid Dewalt users, we use the exclusively at work and love the 18 volt kits we have. Among the many other tools by Dewalt. I bought this for odd jobs around house - it has been great! I have used it to hang all the dry wall and build some other projects at work. It is light, the battery lasts a long time and best of all its powerful - very powerful for just 12 volts.

Powerful little Titans is what these 12v DeWalt tools are!!
I own a number of the DeWalt 20v cordless tools, but I wanted something to keep in the house for everyone to use for the odd small jobs. Well these two 12v tools are little titans! They are powerfull and handy. Just the right size to fit ALL hands! Love Them!!!!

I do not write many reviews.I had to write one for this combo. It is pretty powerful. It is light and easy to use.Batteries last quite a bit for their size.I have been using them for a few months and I have nothing bad to say about them.If you are looking for a 12v set that will do as much as an 18v set BINGO!

I remodel homes and would never purchase ANY OTHER tool unless it has the Dewalt name on it. I have used every tool hundreds of times, and they ALL still run like new. The chargers (I now have four) provide plenty of power to keep you going (which is very important in my line of work). I have never had a breakdown in any tool (as I have had when using other brands) and would highly recommend these tools to anyone whether you use tools around your own home, or if you use them in a trade. There ... read more are a few other tools I would like to get, and I guarantee they will have the Dewalt name on them when I purchase them!!!

    Great Combo set.......
The drill/saw combo has become one of my favorite tool sets for inside and outside projects. One word for the saw, "BEAST". Using a 6 inch landscaping saw blade, I cut down and cut up, a 20 foot Oak tree in about 3 hours. Did I say on ONE BATTERY... The hammer drill made an outside concrete foundation project, like cutting through butter. I would have burned up a couple of bits with a regular drill. Only drawback is expense and ordering on-line, but the delivery came in 2 days.

This kit does most of what I need done.
The hammer drill quickly drills quarter-inch holes in concrete, and is light enough for working over-head. The circular saw has enough power to cut off door bottoms. The reciprocating saw cuts quickly through 2X6 freeze blocks and roofing material. I haven't used the flashlight.

grate stuff at a grate price!
I let Tony the Tiger borrow my new tools and he said they worked GREAT! Then I got a letter in the mail from Monty Hall telling me what a swell Deal you gave me. Really... Separate retail value for all the tools is over a 700 dollar value. You need to carry more packages like this in your stores. John I
