    Great saw for many uses
This is such a great saw for pretty much any job due to its durability, ease of use, and power. I really liked the fact that it is much quieter than other worm drives that I have used. The first time I used it, the blade flew through the wood like a hot knife through butter. All in all, this saw should last me for a long time.

    GOOD BUY
I LIKE THAT THE BLADE IS ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE SAW. MAKE'S IT EASY FOR A RIGHT HANDED PERSON TO SEE WHERE THE BLADE IS CUTTING THE WOOD. I LIKE THAT IT HAS A BLADE BREAK AND RUN'S QUITER THAN A REGULAR SAW.

    Excellent Saw
Nicely designed saw with plenty of power. Cuts straight. Depth and angle adjustments are easy to make and the scales are marked which is a real convenience. Definitely on the heavy side but it is well balanced and easy to control. The one design feature I don't care for is the Allen Wrench used to remove the blade nut. I am worried that the bolt will strip out over time. I think a conventional wrench would have been a better choice. My only disappointment is the lack of a storage case. If I ... read more leave this in the back of my truck it will take a beating.

This tool is perfect for small DIY projects
I bought this circular saw to use when cutting new plywood pieces for small upholstery projects. As a petite woman, full-sized power tools are heavy, awkward and very difficult to maneuver. I wanted something small to fit my hands, and light-weight so I could control it better. This tool fit the bill perfectly! I was able to easily operate the tool with one hand while holding the plywood with the other hand. The power level was just right, too. The saw didn't try to plow ahead and get away from ... read more me. It held as slow and steady as I wanted it to. I love how portable it is, also. Exactly what I need.

3-3/8 IN. CORDLESS CIRCULAR SAW KIT
I am always looking for a better way to cut gypsum board (drywall) at work. I have used everthing from a sawzall, key hole saw, and oscillating tools. This circular saw works very well. Nice straight lines, set the depth and you don't have to worry about sawing through the studs in wall. Less noise, less dust, and straighter lines wish I would have bought one a lot sooner.

Dry Wall Eating Little Sawing Baby Monster
Downsides first. Underpowered Slow RPM Upsides Slow RPM means it wont throw tons of dry wall dust at you and all over everything. When battery went dead I pulled out a dremmel circle saw that is high speed. It was like a dry wall dust explosion,no kidding. Nice and light for long and detailed use, well as detailed as you can get from a circle saw. Makita build quality. This would be a perfect saw if it had a higher volt battery. Not the perfect tool for every job as it is not very ... read more powerful. You will be disapointed if you are trying to rip a full piece of plywood as it is slow going. Reccomended.

    No Case
Just bought a new Skilsaw and it came without a carrying case. I have had Skilsaws for years and all came with a carrying case. It is a shame the carrying case is no longer included.

    DIY product
Very good for what you pay for it compared with the others, especially as I do not use this very often but for home repairs.

    loving my first electric saw
Did some shelves and it made some great cuts. Very happy with them especially for a small project.

    Great laser saw
This was the only model available with a laser at the store and glad I purchased this one. The laser makes cutting a lot easier. The amperage/power wasn't the best out of all available, but more than enough for the DIYer. Again, laser, very helpful especially in making long cuts.

    A man,s saw
Saw has plenty of power, good straight cuts and not too heavy. Wish I had bought it earlier.

Product worked as well as I had hoped.
I was working with 6"X8" lumber and needed a beefy saw to end cut each beam. It took two passes to do the work, but the saw handled it and the cut was smooth with the supplied blade.

High quality for a madie in China product
I have used the saw for cutting 8 inch concrete blocks, and it has work flawlessly after cutting over 45 blocks. Has a long power cord, and comes in a well made steel tool box. Has plenty of power to cut thru thick materials. This is a heavy duty well made saw for a Chinese product.

    Excellent product
I have a long and pleasant history with Makita circular saws. This saw seems to be a very good product so far, have limited use yet.I especially enjoy the light for seeing your saw line.I would like to have a switch to turn the light on and off during use

    Pleased Customer
I was really pleased with this circular saw. This was an impulse buy for me, but I have not regretted it. I have always appreciated the quality of Makita tools. This one is no exception. I got home and pulled it out of the box and was expecting to make some adjustments to get it set right at 90 degrees, but I made a test cut and it was perfectly square. This may not be important to some, but I need more percise cuts than a framer might. The light was something I really didn't notice until I ... read more plugged it in, it is a good feature but not something that would be a major selling point for me. It is powerful enough to handle any job I use it for. I have never had any problems with it. I would recommend this saw to anyone. It may be a little more expensive. For me the extra money paid for the extra quality.

Its really worth the bucks for a better saw !
Granted, its a very simple project, but I got the ramp to the shed built today, and I gotta say that new Makita Circular Saw I bought last night really made the project a super easy project. Its really the first good circular saw I have ever owned. The others over the years have gotten the job done, but not with the ease of the new saw. There really is a difference in quality between a $49 saw and a $149 dollar saw....I just didn't know how much I would appreciate the nicer saw :)

Good saw, probably not the best for cutting plywood...
I really didn't know what I was getting into when I started, but I knew I had some plywood to cut and I would never get it done with a hand saw. Since I already had a Dewalt drill with batteries and a charger, I got this saw. I don't even know how many times I had to recharge the batteries to get through the plywood with an OSB/plywood blade, it took forever. It did the job though and later, when I was using a fast framing blade on some other wood, there was no problem at all.

Quick shipping and good quality product
Very light weight and balanced well. Annoying that I keep getting e-mails to review this product and when I review, required to give too much information. This is the only downside of my experience.

    18 Volt Cordless Saw
The saw works great but even with a new battery, you can't go very far before having to recharge. It would be great for small projects where you don't need to make more than 8 - 10 cuts. I used it to cut 1 x fence pickets and after about 15 cuts, I had to recharge - frustrating

    Good saw,
Love the saw. Very quite but dont let that fool you. You aren't going to be one handing this saw. It has been chewing through oak and maple 6x8.

This saw is a must for a serious deck builder.
I am a contractor that has been building decks for many years. I am a premier deck builder. I have had many saws over the years and for cutting 6x6's and 8x8's it makes life easy. When you need to cut a notch in your post for the girders, it will cut the entire way without much hand work. just make a pass on each side and on bottom, tap with a hammer and done. The saw has power and will cut anything. It is however not for the weakhearted because it is heavy. I would recommend it to anyone who ... read more plans to use it for serious work.

    Serious saw
Very easy to handle and use. I thought it would be really heavy but isn't bad at all. Only get this if you are serious about timber framing or handling big beams. It's super quiet comparatively. The rip guide works safely from 1/2" to about 3". Beyond that you'll have to do something else. Has a hole for dust collection too. Cut 6" dry cedar beam 12' long with almost no resistance and a perfect cut surface even with the stock 32T blade.
