    A nice compact miter saw
I like this unit because it's light weight (portable) and can cut most any piece of wood stock commonly encountered. Does a nice job cutting aluminum stock too.

great saw and helped save alot of gas $ and space
I sold my truck this year and can no longer transport my 12" compound slider...I looked everywhere for a more portable miter saw....there really is not much out there smaller than 10" with any kind of durability and accuracy (which is important with trim carpentry). I have cut 2x material, oak flooring and trim with this miter saw and works wonderfully. This saw has everything I was looking for...small, portable, accurate, easy to adjust, catches alot of the saw dust...only downside is are the ... read more 7.5" blades are hard to find....however the saw will accept 7.25" blades and the depth is easy to adjust. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS SAW!!

    Great saw, portable sizing.
No adjustments needed out of the box. Decent, not great blade which I replaced with Freud/Diablo. Light enough for easy moving by this 62 year old guy. No laser but I put an Oshlund (? :-P) which works well except in direct sunlight. Single bevel with easy lock an score release though I wish it were a dual bevel. Soft start and blade brake are great, make long hours easier and faster. Didn't think it would matter but when I went back to my 12" Dewalt (too lazy to change blades for small job) the ... read more difference was very obvious. Occasionally I need dual levels and slightly more thickness so the next large job may have me in the 10" which will also match my table saw at 10" so blades will be interchangeable. Much easier and comfortable to use and move than a big saw. It is now my go to saw. I'd buy another in a heartbeat, before I'd get a 10" or 12".

    Great Saw
I remodel kitchens and do trim work this thing is light weight and cuts true. Was sick of carrying my 12" around this things worth it, some reviewers say they've had problems with it being out of alignment, guess I'm lucky I love this thing

No complaints; cheapest 10" saw I could find, and it works just fine
I'm a novice handy-man, but my father-in-law knows what he's doing, and he was very happy with this saw when he helped me install a chair rail in our nursery recently. He happens to live overseas, and he was saying how he kinda wanted to buy a saw like this in the States and take it back with him, because of how bad and expensive all of the European stuff is. All in all, it gets the job done, and as long as you know that there is no electronic brake on this saw, you should be good. The laser is ... read more very helpful, and the blade worked well, even when we needed to make fairly intricate cuts to correct our bad measurements and/or our crooked walls.

    Quite the Deal
Great product. Easy to square up. Quick, positive angle stops. Like other reviews have already noted the dust bag isn't very effective... but I don't recall one that ever worked well on miter saws. The laser guide is so cool! Perfection. Doesn't show very well in bright sunlight. I actually moved it to a shady area to take advantage of the accuracy it offers. Very nice.

14 Amp 10 in. Compound Mitre Saw
I am a relatively new wood worker with some power tool experience. I have found this product to be easy to set up and easy to use. The manual was helpful to learn set-up and operation. I found that it was not overly complicated like some manuals can be. I bought this miter saw for the purpose of cutting miter's to build shadow boxes. I am not disappointed with my purchase. I give this product a thumbs up.

The Dewalt DWS780 is durable, heavy duty, easy to use XPS Led lighting accuracy is profoudly vivid , be sure to read owners manual See specifcation on Exstenion Cord guage. Dewalt DWX726 I s a absolute must if you own any type of Mitter Saw Great purchase, heavy duty durable , best of all mobile Your back will thank you , everytime you roll it out, easy ... read more to assemble. You dont have to think twice, purchase together, no hesitation here. Sonya

Great saw but a bit pricey by itself. Make sure you get the free stand!
Spent hours in store and online looking for a new saw and came across this in Home Depot. I read lots of reviews, mostly good but the $599 price tag was just $50 less than the Bosch Model #GCM12SD 15 Amp 12 in. Dual Bevel Glide Miter Saw that I really wanted, and I thought I might as well get the Bosch. Then I noticed the in store ad for this saw with a stand included, both for $599 which turned out to be an excellent deal (the Dewalt stand model #DWX723 sells for $199). I would've paid close to ... read more $900 for a saw and stand if I had gone with Bosch. I am a DIYer, not a pro so I really don't need the very best of everything. Turns out this saw was much better than expected. I'm making kitchen cabinets and this saw cuts maple, poplar, oak (and everything else I throw at it) like butter. I thought I would have to purchase a separate laser but the attached light feature uses the saw blades shadow to pinpoint accuracy for every cut, it creates a dead straight line right on the cutting surface so it's pretty much idiot proof. So far I've had no problems and regrets with this saw.

    Great Saw
I have owned this saw about a month. I have other saws with lasers & never really liked them, because many times the red laser will hide the pencil line. I have had to turn the laser off to be able to see the cut mark. That dose not happen with the XPS LED light on this saw. The LED light is white & projects a shadow of the blade onto the piece to be cut.It makes the pencil mark much easier to see. The saw is also quite, smooth & makes great cuts.

    Excellent purchase at great price
I purchased this because my husband left his other on the basement floor and iit was ruined from the dampness. I picked Ryobi because he has all the other toys offered and loves them. He was extremly happy with the product and was impressed with the laser light. The price was excellent. I am recommending this based on his review of it which I heard several times.

Great Addition to the work force
The cordless miter saw is ideal for those small quick jobs were you do not need to lug that heavy duty miter saw. The One+ sets up in a second ready to go. and seems to run forever, it gets the job done.

Wish I had this a long time ago
Looking for a small battery powered saw like this for years. The only unit available to cut small trims that I install in yachts. Plenty of rpm to make perfect joinery work . Battery power all day long with the 4 amp battery. Wish that I could have purchased this years ago.

    Good product
Its a good product at a good price. Been looking for an inexpensive miter saw for small projects. This one works well and is fairly simple.

    Perfect for light weight work
I own a home repair business and my van can only carry so many tools. This saw is perfect for smaller quick trim repairs. Light weight and easily fits on a shelf in the back of my van. I own 2 other saws, 12 and 15 inch, they are bulky and heavy, they are kept in a work trailer. This little 71/4" saw is just perfect. Cuts well, adjusts easy. 5 stars all the way.

    Getting my money's worth
Saw was pretty much ready to go out of the box. It's pretty easy to use considering I've never owned a miter saw...definitely beats the miter box. Very accurate cuts as is the laser guide. I had been leery because of the inexpensive price, but wish I had bought sooner.

Difficult to learn controls but they function properly
I own two other sliding miter saws 12" & 7 1/4 both were more user friendly out of the box than the Makita 10" the others also came with the blade on & square to the fence the Makita needed to be squared it took many attempts before I was able to get it square. The controls are more difficult to understand but work well. The standard blade is very nice it cuts smooth. Dust collection is not great even with a vacuum attached it still blows around plenty of saw dust. The slow start motor is very smooth.

    Very Nice!
I've been looking for a dual bevel miter saw, but considering the size and weight of the 12" models, figured I'd purchase a standard 10" unit. I found this saw on YouTube and did some research. Overall, I'm not disappointed. It is the only 10" saw that can cut 12" material on the flat. It is pretty easy to use (as a homeowner, do-it-yourself person, I did have a little bit of a learning curve) and is very accurate. It isn't as easy to tote around like my former 10" saw, but it isn't as ... read more cumbersome as one would think. I like the laser feature, even though its hard to see in direct sunlight. I have purchased several Makita tools over the years, and place this at the top of the quality list. My only complaint is the owner's manual could be improved. I ended up downloading the manual so I could enlarge it on my computer. The saw was more expensive than I wanted to pay, but now that I have it, I feel it was worth the price. I don't know how a contractor would rate this saw, but for the amount of work I've done over the years, I think this is a nice tool for the home hobbyist.

    What's not to like!
This isn't a saw, it's a work of art. I needed a good sliding compound miter saw as my old standard 10" just didn't have enough capacity. The makita is more than I expected. The angle stops are all dead on, and I mean DEAD ON ! The laser is a dream. It comes facory set at 1mm from the blade but it's easily set to the exact cut line, and, it can be quickly set to either right or left side of the blade. Overall it's a very well made, sturdy saw with plenty of capacity. It's definately not the ... read more cheapest compound out there, but it's worth every penny and then some.

    Glad I got the 12"
Love the saw and use it all the time. Good power and cuts everything I need. I changed the blade to a 90T Freud Diablo so no idea what the stock blade is like. Was tossed between the 10 inch and 12 and so glad I went with 12. Good to have when you need it and have needed the extra size many times. Wish it came with the accessories like board clamps and extension however they are readily available.

    Better than I expected
We are artists and bought this saw for making our own picture frames, however, our first project was installing some new base molding in a couple of rooms. What would have taken us an entire day or more with our old miter box and hand saw was just a few hours of work. We were completely amazed at the accuracy and fit of the miters. We bought a 100 tooth blade for our framing but used the blade that came with the saw to do the base molding and couldn't believe how clean and smooth the cuts were - ... read more no sanding required. The single bevel option might be the only problem for some but we will seldom need it so no problem for us. The price was excellent and I can't imagine that a more expensive saw would have been a better choice. The DeWalt saw stand wasn't in stock at the time so we bought the Ryobi stand and it fit perfectly.

    Beast, Close to Perfect
As Mentioned this saw is a beast right out of the box. Accurate, durable, portible (with handle), strong. Adjustments are not difficult and very minor. Only cons with this saw are the motor house location and fence backing. The motor house should be on top like the dual compound models to make sight easier and the back of the fence should be perpendicular to the base instead of slightly cuvred for proper clamping of stops. Also if you are a fine woodworker you will need to purchase a 60 to ... read more 80 tooth blade for perfect mirror smooth cuts (40 tooth carbide blade included is perfect for contractor projects). Side note...Make sure to make a copy of the receipt when mailing in a rebate form. Its been over a month and I've seen no rebate. HATE REBATES!!! Just give us the money off upon purchase! GREAT SAW
