    A very fine table saw
I looked for the right table saw for a few years, as I quietly saved up HD gift cards through a couple of rounds of Birthdays/Xmas'/etc... If you have every family member give you a card to the same place for each holiday, you can end up with a very fine tool, at no cost to yourself! I was poised to purchase the Steel City Granite topped 10" saw, as I live in an area that is more humid than not. Then these new Delta's popped up, and were being offered at a very nice introductory sale ... read more price... It was just too good to pass up, and I'm glad I didn't! I've since set up the saw, and really could not be happier with it. It is quiet, smooth, accurate, and very finely manufactured. I have yet to truly fine tune it for furniture making, but it was ready to go out of the box for high quality general carpentry. Oh, and the nickel on it's side video... that's a thing, and it is awesome! My only real critique is that the angle of the fence cannot be adjusted, so squaring is left solely to blade adjustment... Also, and this is why I give a 4 on quality, one of the cast iron wings was a little warped coming out of the box: about 3/32" across the width of it's face... If you are looking for a life long saw, then this appears a good choice. There really is very little left to desire: It assembled well (you will be best off with a second pair of hands for this. Takes ~ 2 hrs), the dust collection is very solid, and it's wheel mechanism makes for excellent and easy movement around the shop. The price I paid was a real steal, but it is worth every penny of it's standard price, as well. Enjoy it! You won't regret it.

    Smooth and Sturdy
This saw replaced an old Rockwell 9" saw that I bought in 1981 that had a stamped steel table and wings. So the Delta 36-5100 is a big leap from that. Assembly and Alignment, The assembly took a few hours over a couple of days when I had time to work on it. Here are a few observations that I came across and aren't in the documentation. - When installing the fence rails make sure the rails are up against the gauge. If they are low at all the fence will drag on the table and not move ... read more smoothly. - There are 4 locations were the trunions bolt to the table (picture included) loosen these to align the blade to the miter slot. - There are 4 set screws included that screw into the cast iron wings to adjust the outside edges of the wings to level with the table. There is a note about this with the instructions, but I didn't see it until I was done with assembly. - don't forget to remove the styrofoam block that is supporting the motor for shipping. DADO NUT not needed, Online you will find that there was/is a special ARBOR NUT needed to use a dado blade, and this may have been true on earlier models. It is no longer needed and my order was cancelled because it was unavailable. The last paragraph of the instructions state to remove the flange washer if your dado stack is to wide to use it and just use the nut. It appears that originally the nut and flange were made together and that is why you needed the special dado nut. Shipping an Delivery. I chose to have my saw delivered to Home Depot and pick it up there. When the box was brought to the counter ( on a pallet with a fork truck ) the box was upside down on the pallet and had been turned over somewhere between the factory and Home Depot. The rip fence is in a separate box and the end was torn off of it. It all looked OK so I excepted it and headed home. The only issue I found was the rip fence scale had a couple of spots that the marks were chipped off. Delta is supposed to send me a new scale, but I haven't received it yet. Overall I am very happy with the saw and I think it will last for a long time.

    Good Saw Poor Instuctions
The saw is very heavy and it should be. I purchased this over the Lowes version because of the single rail, more HP, and the cast iron wings. Instructions are terrible of course anyone with half a brain can figure them out... however an example is that it refers to the screws for the rails in bag "F" well there is no bag F, the bolts were in bag "E". Takes about 4 hours to put together and I did it by myself. Factory aliment is off on EVERYTHING. I expected the fence to be off, however the saw ... read more is off to the miter slot and the manual shows no instructions on how to adjust it. It's so bad from the factory that with the fence adjusted and square a 6' board is 1/8 of an inch off from one end to the other. I know how to adjust it but it will take a bit of time as I have to take things apart to get there. The manual says the "bevel stops are adjusted at the factory to 0 and 45 and should not need adjusting but checked from time to time"... they were both way off and I had to adjust those too. Oh how I want to make this a 5 star review because I like this.. but I can not when they send something out of square such as the motor to the table, then give no instructions on how to square it. It's is quiet and very vibration free that is very positive. Don't know how accurate it is yet because I have not completed adjustments. What is so odd my old Ryobi BT3000 that I had for 10 years that I upgraded to this from was square right out of the box.

    Wonderful product.
I received this as a gift from my wife. It is very simple to use. The fence out of the box was almost a perfect parallel to the saw blade and took a second to adjust. Though I'm only doing small project with it, it's up to task. the fence adjustment is simple. The fine adjust is spot on, the safety features are easy to use. I really can't find any fault with the saw. The saw is as described in the product description and for the extra $$$ over some similar items it's worth every penny. My ... read more favorite feature is the rack and pinion fence adjustment, I never have to worry that my cuts will be out of square. It's size also makes it easy to store. Love it, highly recommended.

    Very Nice Machine
Newly retired, I bought this compact saw for my limited space saw shop. This saw has great features like the tracked fence, easy blade adjustment, simple blade guard with anti kickback and a nice safety switch. All in all this machine is nicely designed and well built. The fence is way superior to other saws I looked at in this price range and even much higher priced. After 15 years in construction I spent the last 20 years teaching Building Trades at a Texas high school. I have used the finest ... read more table saws on the market and this DeWalt 745 saw delivers for what I need now. And, it's light enough for me to move around, no problem. I recommend this saw.

It does adjust to 24" cut!
Needed a compact, light, quality table saw. This one fit the bill nicely. There are so many negative reviewers talking about the fence only adjusting to 16", but I noticed they are older reviews. So maybe previous models only went to 16". I can tell you the newest model I just purchased can go all the way to 24". It has a scale to 20", but it CAN go to 24" and there is even a very small ridge on the bottom of the black fence locks to set it to 24" EVERY time without having to move/use the ... read more preset allen allignment screws. If you want a cut between 20-24" you would have to set that cut up with a tape/scale. One other thing, the miter guage is JUNK! It has at least 1/8 inch of play side to side in the table slot. Other than the miter guage, this saw is absolutely phenominal!

Excellent Table Saw, once it's assembled
I've always wanted a portable table saw and jumped at the opportunity to order this one. It's heavy duty construction, metal construction with hard plastic wheels. The wheels are rubber coated, so they should hold up. It took me one hour and quite a bit of cursing to assemble it. The drawings are not very good and I had to rely on the parts guide and common sense to figure much of it out. That being said, once it's assembled this thing is great. It's pretty heavy (almost 90lbs) so the wheels ... read more are a must for portability. It folds up nicely and locks well. The riving knife, blade guard, throat plate, and anti-kickback pawls can be easily removed by hand, no tools necessary, and all the adjustments on the saw work well. Just know that if you order this, you need it a day before you're headed out on a job so you can take the time to assemble it correctly and not lose time on the job.

    Powerful saw and portable
They say a picture is worth a 1,000 words, well the pictures in this assemlby manual are worth 50 words, terrible! Had to assemble and reassemble several times. But overall this table is heavy duty and easily portable from job to job. Very srong motor and will be a great asset from job to job. I have had several table saws and this is the best once it's assembled. The onboard tool storage is a added plus! The 15amp motor does not blow 15amp circuit breakers, but haven't tried it under extra heavy load.

    Very Impressed!
We were very excited to receive this table saw. Assembly took longer than anticipated, since the directions and diagrams were not completely clear. Within an hour, it was ready to go and we got to look through the many features offered and test it out. We love the portability and the many settings offered. It was a huge help in several of the building projects that we've begun now that spring is here.

    GOOD SAW AFTER SOME ADJUSTMENTS
The factory settings and instructions booklet were horrible. After resting all the factories settings I like the saw. It will take up to a 13/16" dado blade and comes with a dado throat plate. it has a nice sefe aligning fence and is very portable.

    Worth a look
There is not a lot written on this saw, so I'll try to be relevant. FIRST, ... this product is not available in Home Dept stores, it's available online only; so you cannot view it in person ! I looked at a lot of popular saws at all the big box stores in my area and read the reviews onlinebefore just taking the plunge and ordering the "WEN" #3720 JOBSITE Saw , so that I could examine it and compare to the others. I just couldn't find enough info online. "WEN" is not a common brand in my ... read more area, however; I had previous experience with a "WEN" bench mounted spindle sander, This made the decision easier. The whole online ordering process throughout FREE delivery to the store was a simple and pleasant experience with detailed and accurate shipment tracking. If you've never ordered from homedepot.com previously, give it a try; you'll be in for a surprise. Truthfully, I could have purchased this a couple bucks cheaper at a popular Dept. store, BUT ..... Home Depot allows a 90 day return policy on this product if you're not entirely satisfied with it. This gets extended to a one year return for store credit IF you charge the product on your "Home Depot" charge card. I'll be giving this one a real workout. I was also able to take advantage of extended financing on orders of $ 299.00 or more by utilizing my "Home Depot" charge card as well. PROS: * Good power * Accepts a 13/16" Dado stack [ unlike most others in this price point ] * Includes an extra Dado throat plate. [ a $ 40 - 50.oo value ] * Decent power switch ergonomically located * 10 foot power cord with onboard storage * Cast metal Miter Gauge with standard 3/4" x 3/8" tongue guide and preset stops for common angles * Cast metal head on an adjustable fence * Reliable Aluminum fence is secure and adjustable * Pinnion adjustable blade height by hand wheel * Pinnion adjustable blade angle by hand wheel * Sturdy rolling stand * All fasteners are Nyloc , Allen, truss head, painted black * Rugged sealed ball bearing 8" plastic wheels with rubberized tires * Adjustable levelers on feet have wing nuts for adjusting and locking. N0 tools needed. * Right hand table extension rides on Nylon rollers for smooth operation [ after some spray silicon ] * Left side handle doubles as a work support * Front Pencil rail * Onboard blade storage * Includes 2 wrenches for blade changing (onboard) * Includes assembly tools * Instructions are adequette * Two year Warranty * Improved lock on table extension does not protrude handle upward above the table as the "RGD" and other saws do. CONS: * Packaging could be better * Plasic lock handles could be beefier * Onboard storage could be better thought out * Onboard storage could be more secure * Onboard storage is not user friendly or immediatly logically obvious. * Hand wheels slightly undersized * Rear extension includes a cheap stamped sheet metal component, that could easily be improved * The only change I'd make is one full length axel shaft rather than 2 welded axel stubs. This saw is obviously a copy, however; not an exact clone of the popular "oRanGe branD". Home Depot sells It's geared more toward the DIY/consumer than the PRO/contractor Overall, I'm impressed with this table saw and cart. It's lightweight @ 79 pounds, ( approximately 20# lighter than comparable models ) and portable . It raises, lowers and stores neatly. The latch is simple to operate. Out of the box the blade was square to the slots as was the fence. They only feature that it didn't have off my wish list was a double front/rearfence locks. I can live with that for the adequette dado capacity needed for making finger joints on bee hives. I don't know if the tires are 40,000 mile,All Season, " S" speed rated radials or not, however; the bearings are similar to what you'd expect on a premium lawn mower. The plastic wheels are heavy duty, and good looking. They're NOT the cheap BBQ grill looking wheels as they appear in the photos. This saw is loaded with desirable features too numerous to list. As far as assemly is concerned: There are only 4 major frame compnents not counting the two short handle stubs, wheels and fasteners A) The top left side handle B). The center linkage C). The right hand wheel frame D). The left side leg frame with adjustable levelers The last two, " C" &"D"; are already assembled together for you into an X shape Just fasten "A" & "B" to "C" & "D" ... ! HINT: The 2 welded lugs position on top of the frame, not underneath. Then, 4 bolts hold the plastic saw body to the steel cart and wheels are retained with 8mm x 1.25 Nyloc nuts and covered with snap in plastic caps. I added two 1/2" washers to each wheel, one between the frame & back of the bearing and another between the front of the bearing and lock nut.

    1st table saw purchase
I searched for weeks to find an affordable table saw. I had it shipped to the nearest store to avoid shipping charges. It arrived earlier than the estimate. I saw with most saws that come with stands that it is hard to understand the directions and assemble. My 12 yr old and I put it together in an hour or so. we took our time doing it. There was one part that wasn't even in the assembly instructions (extendable piece that goes on the back side of the table). Once I figured out what it was it ... read more wasn't hard to install. I plan on buying a better blade than the one that comes with it however, the cuts I have done so far have been nice so I don't have to rush out and get one. Overall it looks good. Is quitter than the saw my father used back in the day and is easily wheeled around. I like it a lot.

This is a great saw with minor issues.
This is a great saw, however, I'm surprised that Makita hasn't developed a better fence system. I also have a Dewalt table saw and the rack and pinion system is the best.

Overall great saw and easy to operate. Has power with low cost

    Worth every penny
Easy to assemble. Cuts true and much better than my old table saw. The table is the right size and the extension is simple to use. The rip fence is solid and simply to use. You won't be disappointed with this saw

    Just a darn good saw.
I'm a contractor and already own the larger TS2400 jobsite table saw and love it. Wanted something smaller and easier to transport, but still had to be "contractor grade" and durable enough for the jobsite. Picked this one up at HD on black Friday for $269. Saw the online ad for $169 and HD honored the online price. Been using this saw on the job and very happy with it. Solid, lots of power, and quality controls. Only negative I have is the flimsy plastic used for the cabinet. I know the plastic ... read more is not structural, however the cord wrap is molded into it and is very flexible. No biggie, I just don't wrap the cord around it. Was happy buying it for $269, but getting it in the end for $169 made it a phenominal deal. Very capable for daily use on the jobsite and perfect for the homeowner.

    Nice size saw for homeowners
Bought this saw a week ago. Mounted it on my old 35 year old table saw base. Cannot find a specific base made for this model. The saw is great. Start up is a little loud and unusual at first. I guess it starts on no load. The rip fence can be moved with one finger. The guards come off with loosining one lever, no tools needed. Miter gauge has tab to keep it in the slot. Blade height and angle operate smoothly. Storage for miter gauge, cord, blade wrench, and push stick. Shopped for a new saw and ... read more chose this one because it is better quality and a good price. I own a 12 inch Ridged compound miter saw and now this Ridged table saw. I like there quality.

    Great Buy!!!
I had seen this particular saw online at various outlets, and at Sears, and all of the pricing was in the $299.99 range, give or take a few dollars. The Sears sales guy was high on this particular model, and apparently they, Ridgid, also make a similar model sold under the Sears name. Home Depot had this unit on sale on Black Friday, online, for $169.99, but they were sold out before I could order one. I called the local store, which had these saws in stock--and the dept manager agreed to sell ... read more me one from his stock--at he online price--thus, making is a really great GREAT BUY!!!

Rigid 15 amp 10 in. Portable table saw with stand
Great product. Easy to use quick and easy to store as well. Would have given it a 5 star if the assembly instructions had been better.

My husband loves his saw. He's like a kid at Christmas with his new toy.
We had o go to utube to watch a video. The instructions were hard to understand when it came to assembling the legs. Other than that, the saw is nice and my husband is pleased.

Great saw, forget the lifetime warranty
This saw was actually a replacement for another saw that I had purchased from Home Depot. Unfortunately I never registered the product for to get the lifetime warranty. Watching the sales I finally bought my replacement and diligently went to the Ridgid website to register. The short version is that it is brain tar to register and I was denied warranty completion and told an extensive, tedious process to follow to complete the process. I don't have a lot of time to devote to this sort of thing ... read more so I weighed the risk and I am rolling the dice. Great saw, forget getting the warranty that they talk about.

    Tough as nails
I have put this saw through the ringer. Love the compactibility and power. Seems to uphold better than some of the other popular branded saws.

    Great table saw
I have used other table saws but this was the First one I own. By far the best one I have used. It bigger then most job site table saws, but for me I like it. No problems with performance.

    Good Christmas Present
The saw was not that difficult to assemble. However, one item was not threaded correctly and I had to call and request a replacement. Have not received the item and it has been three weeks. If it takes much longer will have to downgrade the rating to average or fair.
