    Capable but HEAVY!
All the bells and whistles, but wish it was a little smaller/lighter.

    Lots of Power, well built
I had a 12 year old full sized Rigid that was seldom used, yet the 10 amp motor still burned up, very disappointing! This Makita is GREAT compared to the Rigid. Plenty of excess power (first job was ripping 2x4 on 38 deg angle, and it chewed through it no problem), light saw, but sturdy, very solid and well built. Other reviewers complained about the fence? I think the fence is great and it cut true out of the box (I did have to adjust the angle indicator on the blade though). I have had a ... read more really good track record with Makita motors, I down right abuse some of my older Makita saws, and they just keep running, so I'm sold on the Makita motor, as opposed to the Dewalt, Rigid, etc., that I just don't think are the highest quality and I seem to hear about them burning up more often. Bottom line, it was worth the extra $ for me to get the Makita.

This is a great saw with minor issues.
This is a great saw, however, I'm surprised that Makita hasn't developed a better fence system. I also have a Dewalt table saw and the rack and pinion system is the best.

Great Value on a Great Portable Table Saw
Excellent product for the price. Seems to be as well made as some of the portable table saws costing almost 2X as much. Outstanding support from sales associates. I appreciate their willingness to help out and their knowledge of their products. Without a doubt the best warranty available for DIY user.

    Great table saw!
Quick assembly, and your ready to roll. Saw blade already on and saw is pre squared ready to cut. I used this saw first time out of the box to rip 120 soft of reclaimed barnwood for an accent wall. Cuts were perfect. Highly recommend this saw.

Works much, much better than anticipated.
I am very impressed with this saw. it was much bigger than I had anticipated, but the base/carriage is incredibly well designed, making transportation and storage a breeze. Converting the saw from dolly to table base and back again is effortless. All you need to do is press the release with your toe, and push the saw forward. The wheels are sturdy and well placed which makes moving the saw around easy, and all of the attachments have a secure storage location on the body that keeps them out of ... read more harms way. My only complaint with the saw is that the locking mechanism for the blade angle was set too loose and when locked, would still allow the blade angle to deviate. This was easily solved by folding up the saw and tightening a nut on the opposite end of the locking shaft. Basically a normal maintenance type of issue. Pro's: Table top design expands to support larger materials. Sturdy, while still being light weight. Very clever compact storage design. Con's: blade angle locker needed to be tightened doesn't cut wood with laser beams. ;)

    Great design and fairly lightweight
The table saw itself is well-designed and was in perfect alignment out of the box. The optional rear outfeed and left side extensions should be standard -- your need them -- especially the rear outfeed extension. Those accessories are strong and well-made. The "gravity-rise" stand makes the saw easy to move and set up. It enables to saw to fold 90 degrees and makes garage storage easy.

    No More Looking!
As contractors, we use this saw everyday. We build everything from decks, additions, cabinets and furniture. This is the only table saw we have used for the past 5 years. For accuracy, power, versatility, convenience, and reliability, you need not look any further. BUT....just to make sure, Ive been reviewing all the portable saws currently on the market before I head to the store to buy one for my own personal use. Comparing my own experience with all the reviews Ive read on this and other ... read more saws, Im convinced there is no better choice when compared on equal grounds. So, Ive got my boots on and money in hand. Just wanted to post this before I took off.

When it was time to purchase a new table saw I (we) started the Internet search, read the reviews checked options and price. Then I finally decided. I'll save a few bucks and get the orange one. Then it happened my girlfriend told me no. Pay the extra for the good one. So She bought it for me and I couldn't be happier with it. Put it to the test and it performed flawlessly. Changed the blade ripped perfect miters, no bogging, fence was dead on out of the box. PAY THE Extra. It's worth every penny!

    Good with one caution
Assembly was super simple. The only surprise was that the saw can only cut 1.75" boards. This means it can cut a 2X4, but just barely. So, when I'm using it for the purpose I purchased it, I'm pushing the saw to it's fullest capacity. Also, given the height of the saw, it's a bit tough to cut the longer boards (8' - 10'). It can be done, it's just a little more challenging than I'd hoped. One good surprise was that it does come with four each for metal, rough wood, fine wood ... read more and...hmmm, maybe it's 3 blades or maybe I'm forgetting one type of blade. Sorry, not looking at the saw right now. Overall, I do really like the saw and am happy to have purchased it. I do recommend it for others.

    Great tool for small projects
Great tool for small projects. I just completed a hardwood floor installation, the saw was perfect for this job. Highly recommend.

    Works well for the money
Very surprised at the functionality of this given it's low price. Have used it for wood cuts up to 2" thick (wouldn't recommend any thicker) at a variety of angles and some thin metal. So far it has worked well. The blades change out easily and it is very light weight. Great for the casual user, not for pros (as reflected in the price). Assembly was easy although a description to go along with the pictures would have been nice. If you need pinpoint accuracy for depth/angle of cuts, you will have ... read more to fork out more cash for a better unit but this works for casual projects. Only con so far is that the top blade guide seems flimsy and does not fully lock into place.

    Great table saw
This is a great table saw! It is well constructed with a cast aluminum surface so it is light but also doesn't seem flimsy at all. It was easy to assemble. Also the height of the table on the stand feels good (I'm 6'4"). The saw itself is nice, easily adjustable to your board thickness, and the protective pieces don't get in the way. The "self aligning" rip fence seems to maintain its squareness, I was able to cut a 20 inch board using the rip fence and didn't notice any squareness issues.

    I love this saw!
This is a great saw for the price! I have been using it for building cigar box guitars, home projects and hobbies. The set up was easy. The blade, guides were spot on from the factory. I did not need to adjust them. The cuts are accurate and this saw as a lot of features other saws do not in the price range, Some parts are plastic so it may not be the best saw for heavy construction use. But this is a great saw for the price and perfect for any home owner owner. Love it!

    Great value!
The table saw works very well, easily making accurate cuts. For the low price it is a great tool!

    A very fine table saw
I looked for the right table saw for a few years, as I quietly saved up HD gift cards through a couple of rounds of Birthdays/Xmas'/etc... If you have every family member give you a card to the same place for each holiday, you can end up with a very fine tool, at no cost to yourself! I was poised to purchase the Steel City Granite topped 10" saw, as I live in an area that is more humid than not. Then these new Delta's popped up, and were being offered at a very nice introductory sale ... read more price... It was just too good to pass up, and I'm glad I didn't! I've since set up the saw, and really could not be happier with it. It is quiet, smooth, accurate, and very finely manufactured. I have yet to truly fine tune it for furniture making, but it was ready to go out of the box for high quality general carpentry. Oh, and the nickel on it's side video... that's a thing, and it is awesome! My only real critique is that the angle of the fence cannot be adjusted, so squaring is left solely to blade adjustment... Also, and this is why I give a 4 on quality, one of the cast iron wings was a little warped coming out of the box: about 3/32" across the width of it's face... If you are looking for a life long saw, then this appears a good choice. There really is very little left to desire: It assembled well (you will be best off with a second pair of hands for this. Takes ~ 2 hrs), the dust collection is very solid, and it's wheel mechanism makes for excellent and easy movement around the shop. The price I paid was a real steal, but it is worth every penny of it's standard price, as well. Enjoy it! You won't regret it.

    Smooth and Sturdy
This saw replaced an old Rockwell 9" saw that I bought in 1981 that had a stamped steel table and wings. So the Delta 36-5100 is a big leap from that. Assembly and Alignment, The assembly took a few hours over a couple of days when I had time to work on it. Here are a few observations that I came across and aren't in the documentation. - When installing the fence rails make sure the rails are up against the gauge. If they are low at all the fence will drag on the table and not move ... read more smoothly. - There are 4 locations were the trunions bolt to the table (picture included) loosen these to align the blade to the miter slot. - There are 4 set screws included that screw into the cast iron wings to adjust the outside edges of the wings to level with the table. There is a note about this with the instructions, but I didn't see it until I was done with assembly. - don't forget to remove the styrofoam block that is supporting the motor for shipping. DADO NUT not needed, Online you will find that there was/is a special ARBOR NUT needed to use a dado blade, and this may have been true on earlier models. It is no longer needed and my order was cancelled because it was unavailable. The last paragraph of the instructions state to remove the flange washer if your dado stack is to wide to use it and just use the nut. It appears that originally the nut and flange were made together and that is why you needed the special dado nut. Shipping an Delivery. I chose to have my saw delivered to Home Depot and pick it up there. When the box was brought to the counter ( on a pallet with a fork truck ) the box was upside down on the pallet and had been turned over somewhere between the factory and Home Depot. The rip fence is in a separate box and the end was torn off of it. It all looked OK so I excepted it and headed home. The only issue I found was the rip fence scale had a couple of spots that the marks were chipped off. Delta is supposed to send me a new scale, but I haven't received it yet. Overall I am very happy with the saw and I think it will last for a long time.

    Good Saw Poor Instuctions
The saw is very heavy and it should be. I purchased this over the Lowes version because of the single rail, more HP, and the cast iron wings. Instructions are terrible of course anyone with half a brain can figure them out... however an example is that it refers to the screws for the rails in bag "F" well there is no bag F, the bolts were in bag "E". Takes about 4 hours to put together and I did it by myself. Factory aliment is off on EVERYTHING. I expected the fence to be off, however the saw ... read more is off to the miter slot and the manual shows no instructions on how to adjust it. It's so bad from the factory that with the fence adjusted and square a 6' board is 1/8 of an inch off from one end to the other. I know how to adjust it but it will take a bit of time as I have to take things apart to get there. The manual says the "bevel stops are adjusted at the factory to 0 and 45 and should not need adjusting but checked from time to time"... they were both way off and I had to adjust those too. Oh how I want to make this a 5 star review because I like this.. but I can not when they send something out of square such as the motor to the table, then give no instructions on how to square it. It's is quiet and very vibration free that is very positive. Don't know how accurate it is yet because I have not completed adjustments. What is so odd my old Ryobi BT3000 that I had for 10 years that I upgraded to this from was square right out of the box.

Awesome product for all reno needs, from splitting sheets of plywood, ripping dimension lumber accurately and making precision cuts. It delivers more than I expected. It's easy to use and very easy to transport and set up.

Build quality and best in class engineering
These days paying a premium doesn't guarantee you'll receive a good product. Fortunately this is not the case with this DeWalt table saw. The build quality is second to none and after one use you'll know a lot of thought went into the design. Cuts are smooth and fast and measurements are a breeze. This saw will definitely compensate for its user's lack of skill and experience (which is important for me).

    Great Table Saw
I bought this table saw because I wanted to get a portable table saw that can cut almost as well as a cabinet table saw. This one does, and it is very well thought out and easy to use. All the attachments are easy to take on and off. I can zero the blade in a minute. And the legs for the cart are extremely sturdy. It's pretty heavy to get in and out of the truck, but I knew that when I bought it. But rolling it around on the cart is sweet.

Perfect saw from the first time I took it out of the shipping box. Smooth and quiet operation.

    Bosch 10" saw -no stand
I'm a non-professional woodworker, although I have to say that this Bosch table was a great choice after being stuck with a regular duty Delta table saw for 10 years of inaccuracy. This machine is on the mark every times so far, it stays set square and accurate . I developed several blade inserts (finewoodworking)for dado cutting to keep cuts clean. However, the dust doesn't just shoot through to the rear bag(my own), I have added a large adapter plus Pvc and elbow, but still alot of dust just ... read more doesn't bag out the back, it just clogs and flys around some goes down into a vertical bag.Note. wear a safety gear.

    Great Saw and Excellent Value
Did a lot of research and it was a toss up between this saw and a Dewalt. This saw performed excellent, I recently used it for reconstructing a stair case (cutting risers and treads) as well as installing laminate flooring.
