I just have to reply to the previous comment complaining about the alignment of the saw. I own a Makita and a Ridgid,,,,and many other power tools. Every miter saw should be checked and adjusted once you unpack it,,,,since the saw can get knocked around during shipping. In fact almost all quality tools need to be checked and adjusted. detail in the owners manual. Even after unpacking a miter saw,,,one needs to occasionally check the saw for the correct angles because transporting from work site to work site can jar the saw.
