    Can't beat this deal!
Very good saw with an even better stand! The only complaints I have about the saw are 1) Dust collection; which I hear is near impossible with these types of saws, and 2) No direct drive. It does take this baby a few seconds to rev up and get to it's full cutting speed. Other than that, you're not going to beat the deal, and the stand is the best in the biz. I just leave my saw attached to it 24/7, and when I need to use it I just open the stand, plug the saw in, and start cutting! The stock ... read more blade is pretty good too, but I wouldn't use it for too long. Get good carbide-tipped replacements.

    Awesome saw
I was looking for a compound slider and found this deal! Dead on, nice table, but heavy...oh well it came with a FREE $200.00 contractor table and the saw is a 12 inch. Very well built! I recently did my stairs with oak treads and it hit every cut perfectly! I still have my old 12inch to loan out : ) Best deal I have gotten in a long time.

    Good Saw
I really like this saw. It cuts well and is accurate. Like others have said, it does make a lot of dust and the little bag that is supposed to collect it is pretty much worthless. It is a saw and it cuts wood, so it will make dust. I just clean it up. The MSUV is not my favorite part. I have another very similar saw and the stand that I bought for it a few years ago works much better. It is easier to maneuver and the whole thing raises and lowers and I do not have to leave it up all the time when storing.

    Decent Saw The Price
The Ryobi 12 inch compound mitre saw I recently purchased is a pretty decent saw for the price. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a saw like this for home projects or the wood hobbyist. It took a little work to get the saw fence lined up properly with the blade. The slots provided in the fence did not enable enough adjustment to square it up and I had file the slots some to get it square. This was not difficult as the aluminum the fence is made of is soft and files easy. The only ... read more remaining problem I have with it is, as you slide the saw out to the widest cut, it tracks slightly off center and the laser alignment line also moves a bit. I adjusted the fence to split the difference in this offset of the track. It is okay for narrow dimensional wood, but for wider wood it is off a little. So, if you need to cut perfectly, I would suggest a more expensive saw.

    Really nice saw.
Used it a couple of times in the past weeks and have no complaints on quality of the cut. Angles were accurate. This is a very good saw for the price.

    Extemely Pleased!!!
Thou I normally am a Diehard fan of another brand, lack of availability at the time for that caused me to make a rash decision and take a chance on this model... and I'm so glad I did! Only negative was the laser and I honestly don't use it anyway, and have never seen one ever work properly on other brands either. My brand at the time was offering their 12" saw for the same price as the Ryobi, but without the slide which is what I needed, their loss! Thanks Ryobi what a great saw!

    Rock solid
I've burned up more miter saws than most people will own. They're used in a light manufacturing environment and most simply aren't up to hundreds of cycles per day. Although I would've preferred a sliding saw for flexibility to do those odd projects, after playing with the saws in the store, I conceded that I couldn't get the rock-solid stability in a sliding saw that I found in this saw. No side-to-side flex, no blade wobble, no cheap blade guard mechanisms...all just solid. The gears are very ... read more quiet too. My last saw growled like an angry badger. If you need a saw that does exactly what it's supposed to do without compromise, every time, get this saw. It's a little more expensive, but worth it, if you can afford it.

    Excellent Saw
The saw was assembled and the lift handle on top is a great feature. Saw blade was flush with L square at zero crosscout and 45 bevel. Changed out 40 tooth carbide blade to 60 tooth to cut chair rail. Excellent finished cuts at every angle including bevel. Return cuts were clean. No splintering. Love the electric brake. I would highly recommend this saw. User manual was clear and concise. Make sure you read it.

Great, but missing left side fence, dust bag and blade wrench.
Product runs well and has no trouble screaming to life- would recommend to anyone from homeowner to pro, BUT... BIG disappointment- The saw didn't come with the left side sliding fence for crown, no dust bag and no blade wrench. The fence is available from the manufacturer, but it's $40 for a piece of aluminum and a wing nut!!!!! Huge let down here and the store can't help because they're not a common items. I can deal without a bag or wrench, but no fence stinks. Trying to determine ... read more if I can make my own out of wood.

I don't even know where to start....
I came up with that title because it's the truth. This saw is replacing an older compound miter saw that has served me well but I wanted the sliding feature for cutting larger pieces of lumber. There are so many features on this saw it would require me writing a dissertation to cover them all so I will try and summarize with this: just about anything you can think of for convenience and precision is on this saw. It is belt driven which seems to be the norm for higher end saws, the miter ... read more adjustments are smooth and accurate right out of the box. I bit the bullet and purchased the TB4 stand to go with it, the only word I can describe to describe the combination is WOW. This saw weighs close to 90 lbs so I knew moving it around was not going to be an easy thing, the stand solved that and then some. I am going to post a review on the stand soon, that would take another 3 pages of typing. In the instruction booklet there is what can only be described as a chapter just on how to cut crown molding with the various adjustments that can be made on this saw. Crown molding can be intimidating; but I think, just by following the directions, an 8 year old could produce satisfying results. This is another example of the quality and engineering that Bosch puts into their tools. It is a bit pricy but I promise you it will not disappoint.

I think they left out a knob
    - Adjustments for every conceivable use save upside-down - 1/2" manual - Every moving part feels terribly precise I haven't run this through its paces yet, I've spent far more time with the manual than with the saw itself. There are 43 parts mentioned in the manual, and most of them are knobs or buttons. I had no problem putting this through 1" ebony at 45/45, but the draw is the myriad of cutting options available. Every moving part moves fluidly, every seam looks and feels pretty ... read more tight, I think you'd need a sledgehammer to gum it up. Mine delivered with some ~1mm pitting on the deck, or "table;" I'm hoping and assuming this was a second provided for this review. Otherwise, this thing looks like, and is probably half as complicated as, a Ferrari engine. The miter detent system, scale pointer, kerf insert and bevel stops can be calibrated, though out of the box I cut a perfect (fitting) compound joint. The sliding fences can be easily removed. Any conceivable adjustment you could want, you can make and generally lock down. A vacuum is noticeably better than the included dust bag, but between this and a monster skilsaw I now have use for my 2gal compressor, which I'd recommend. Brushes are user-replaceable but the belt is a service change.

    Great Saw
The Bosch 15 amp dual-bevel slide miter saw is a very good quality saw with many features and access to some great accessories. The motor is plenty powerful and should be able to stand up to the rigors of everyday use. I did buy the Gravity rise stand for when the saw is not in use. A feature that I really like is the integrated base extensions. They will extend to 40 inches allowing support for material of longer lengths. I own a lot of Bosch tools and all have been very reliable.

    A work of art
This is one magnificent piece of machine it has all the bells and whistles one can imagined this is a real work of art by Makita cannot go wrong it the best on the market.

table adjustments are hard to make , bevel adjustments are easy
overall it is the best 10" saw I have used. shipping was very good.

Difficult to learn controls but they function properly
I own two other sliding miter saws 12" & 7 1/4 both were more user friendly out of the box than the Makita 10" the others also came with the blade on & square to the fence the Makita needed to be squared it took many attempts before I was able to get it square. The controls are more difficult to understand but work well. The standard blade is very nice it cuts smooth. Dust collection is not great even with a vacuum attached it still blows around plenty of saw dust. The slow start motor is very smooth.

    Great saw
Seems to be a quality saw. It is more convenient than the wired version and also lighter. Not double beval so it just takes more thought to accomplish which way to flip wood to achieve your cut.. Buy a little extra wood and get over it, I'm sick of complainers on these reviews who try to ruin the image of a good quality tool.

I don't use any of my corded chop saws any more.
This is one great saw. I am a professional General Contractor. I build homes, additions, decks, you name it. I took my corded chop saws off the truck. Unless I'm going to be doing some kind of exceptional amount of cutting, this is my go-to saw. I use it almost everyday. Typical DeWalt quality. This is as good as it gets.

    Solid Mitre saw
First, this is both a clarification and a review. This product is not the same as the cordless blower and trimmer as Joe Schmoe indicated. Those are 40 Volt units and have either a 4Ah or 6Ah battery, but 40V - not the same batteries This is a 20V saw mounted on a small sliding mitre base. To that it works great and last similarly depending on the particular Ah battery you put on. EG 3Ah runs out before a 5Ah battery. It's a solid, well built, dependable, cordless tool. It's lightweight, great ... read more for smaller 2x4/2x8 projects, has all the right stops, etc. and the ability to work where there is no power is fantastic. Very nice for the price
This saw has very good power and makes nice, clean cuts. The laser line is a nice feature and the whole setup feels very sturdy. Getting the right angle set isn't the easiest thing since there are no bumps set at common angles and very little of the sawdust actually makes it into the bag but it works just fine

    Perfect saw for me!
I've been looking for a saw for a while. When I saw this, I realized that it exactly what I need. I do a lot of DIYer projects around my house, but I'm not really crazy about using the skill saw. This miter saw brings a better measure of safety and ups the level of preciseness to my cuts. I attached the saw to the top of a large, mobile tool chest by bolting it down. I was surprised at how light yet sturdy that it is. It comes with a blade pre-mounted, and I had no problem using the miter to cut ... read more new molding for my living room. I was very impressed at how easy it was to get precise cuts. I also loved the fact that there is a clamp to hold my wood, and a laser to let me know where the blade will cut.

    Great saw, does the job
Bought to help build a deck, worked just as advertised. Love the laser. No adjustments necessary straight out of the box, easy set up and simple to use. I would recommend this saw to anybody who is just starting out in woodwork or just does the odd job around the house.

You get what you pay for
I am extremely pleased and as another reviewer stated, I never want to be without this saw. I have owned several other miter saws, and this one is by far the best. The dust port works decently well, unlike my other two saws. Also, when you set the saw it keeps. The extensions and clamps have come in very handy. I can make precision cuts through 4x4's with no problems. Very sturdy and well built. Precise cuts time after time. I highly recommend.

Does everything I wanted very well
The saw require minor alignment at start up and this was very easy to accomplish, it has held that alignment ever since. It is remarkably easy to set miter angles and its higher sliding fence has saved the day on a couple of occasions.

I've wanted a Bosch miter saw but could never find a decent price. HD's price was darned good!
I've been using a Sears Radial Miter Saw for 20 years and it was OK. Never too accurate but it worked fine. I bit the bullet bought the Bosch saw, and discovered my new saw is miles ahead of the Sears saw in technology. It is a great piece of equipment! I only wish HD would give a nice price break on the Bosch T4B stand if a person buys the Bosch miter saw.
