WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS JOB:
Do not spray indoors – use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area such as an open garage.
Prep. Thoroughly wipe down surface with paint thinner for best adhesion. For aged/weathered surface, remove loose material with dry brush, clean with soap and water and let dry. If mildewed, wash with solution of water and bleach and let dry.
Prime. For the best results, apply one coat of Rust-Oleum Specialty Paint for plastic furniture.
Paint. Spray in steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Keep can same distance from surface and in motion while spraying. Apply multiple wet coats a few minutes apart instead of one heavy coat. Maximum adhesion and durability is achieved in 5-7 days. Dries to the touch in 20-30 minutes, to handle in 1 hour, fully dry in 24 hours. Apply second coat within 1 hour or after 48 hours. Two or more coats may be necessary to ensure corners and edges are covered.
