MATERIALS

PLACING ORNAMENTS UNDER CAKE DOMES

House your ornaments under one or more cake domes to create a gorgeous display that can be a table centerpiece or an accent on a buffet table.

Turn a cake dome upside down and place the ornaments inside the dome until it’s full.

Tip: Point all the ornament tops so that they’re facing in, so only the ball of the ornament can be seen from the outside.

• Invert the cake stand over the open end.
• Gently turn the dome and cake stand right-side up.

Thread ribbon through ornaments

• Thread ribbon through one large ornament.
• Position the ornament at the center so that the ribbon length is even on both sides.
• Hold the ornament and ribbon from the top of your window so you can determine at what height you want the ornament to hang.
• Cut the ribbon to the determined length.
• Let the ornament hang at the center and flatten out the ribbon’s wire edges so it is as flat as possible.

• Gather ribbon ends together.
• Fold a 10-inch piece of 28-gauge wire in half.
• Twist to create a loop.

Cut and fold through snowflake

• Cut a 6-inch piece of wire.
• Fold it in half and feed it through the center of the snowflake.
• Twist wire together a few times on the back of the snowflake, creating a loop to secure the wire in place.

Position a Command hook on the window moulding and hook wire to hang the ornament, then hang snowflake on the same Command hook.
