WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN EXTERIOR PAINT

A fresh coat of exterior paint and exterior stain does more than give your home a layer of protection from Mother Nature. It offers you a great opportunity to create instant curb appeal. And because everyone has different tastes on exterior house colors, outdoor paint and outdoor stains, we offer a wide selection of house paint that’s perfect for your home.

High-quality paint is important for any project, but for exterior projects it’s a must. A top brand name such as Glidden paint requires fewer coats and lasts longer, saving both time and money. You’ll also find primers, essential for covering exposed wood and other patched areas to help extend the life of your paint or stain.

For exterior house color ideas, the selection process is quite different than, say, selecting paint colors or pool paint. A water-based exterior paint such as acrylic or latex provides better gloss and color retention. Conversely, oil-based paints offer better adhesion and stain blocking, making them better for chalky surfaces, stained surfaces and metals that rust.
