Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Home Depot Employees I Have Found Anywhere I would like to share my recent experience at the Barstow Home Depot #6972. Recently I was headed back from a trip from Arizona, as I came up on “L” Avenue my wife asked me to stop so she could use a restroom. Of course I thought the Home Depot would be an excellent choice so I could look at the tools while I waited. What really surprised me was how very friendly and helpful everyone was. Not just one employee but every single one of them. I thought I had entered some parallel world where everyone knew and understood customer service at the highest level. I don’t know where you found these people or who trained them but you should be sending them out to all the other Home Depots to train others. I wish I had gotten all their names. It was Monday May 16th around 12 noon. Adam was the manager on duty who I found being very patient when helping a customer and his wife with some water damage issues. He then turned to help the girl from tools that I was with, but only after he was sure the other couple had all of their questions answered. As he walked back to tools with us everyone was calling him on the radio for help, but he kept his composer and continued to help me. I don’t know that I could have been so composed under those conditions. That being said the girl in tools was really holding her own too, managing several customers all at once while still being friendly and helpful. I wanted to give her a big hug for her multi-tasking skills and her excellent customer service. Then the tool girl paying attention to detail as to why the tool kit I handed her was so light, had a cashier inspect the contents, while she helped another customer. The cashier found that the drill was missing from the kit. Again this cashier was really nice and very customer care oriented. Glad I did not just pay and walk out with that kit (The drill motor was found later to have be taken out for a display model). The tool girl came back as she promised and continued to help me. Then there was the young lady in flooring who took extra time with my wife and me. She was simply amazing. She took extra time making sure my wife was happy with her choices. And finally there was cashier who checked us out, who was also very friendly. How the heck do you get so many folks working so well together? I am recently retiring as a supervisor from a government job and I know how hard it can be to build a good team. I commend all these fine employees and anyone who had anything to do with their training. All of your employees took their jobs very personally and offered the highest level of service. In a day were you get the typical “that’s not my department” or “I’d rather be texting than talking to you”, this was a very refreshing experience that I will never forget and it gives me hope again in what good employees and team work can become. I not only walked out with a really great deal on some cordless power tools, but I drove the next hour home feeling truly blessed that I had visited the Barstow Home Depot Store. These employees deserve to be acknowledged by their superiors for an outstanding performance in the work place. Thank you May 18, 2016
