Ruth is the most disrespectful and abhorrent manager I have encountered at a Home Depot. If the management team chooses to explain the differences between HomeDepot.com and the store, not offer a solution and not have a point of contact then why bother to come to work? Management requires leadership and initiative to fix problems. If everything ran smoothly Home Depot would not pay managers, they would have only employees and could lower prices, increase wages or increase profits. It makes no sense for a manager to explain his or her problems to the customer. That's why they get paid. It's not my problem and I do not care to hear it. I went to Home Depot to get materials for my project which has it's own challenges. When a manager chooses to pile their problems onto my problems after Home Depot has made a mistake in a listing which has cost me time and money, already piling more issues onto my problems, it begs the question who is the customer here? If I am going to help a manager fix his or her problems then I need to get paid too.
