I’ve shopped at many Home Depot’s but the one in Costa Mesa is my go to store and just love the staff there Store is always clean.

1. Mistake to assume no customers buy or need any help in Gardening Dept after 6p. Hire more employees to help customers. 2. ABHORE self check out & never use it. Whether I have 1 or 100 items to buy, I don't want to wait in mile-long line to get an actual CASHIER. I'm a professional & own my own staging biz. I don't want to do YOUR work, when I shop at Home Depot. It's YOUR job to hire more CASHIERS vs someone to "help" at self check out. Very impersonal & TIME-CONSUMING. Hire more cashiers to actual provide CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! This Home Depot is going down hill the more you encourage SELF CHECKOUT & no one to help in Gardening after 6p

Look for Tony. He will take care of all your needs. Ask him to set you up with PRO PERKS. It’s a great added benefit for those who visit weekly as I do.

I purchased a refrigerator as mine quit working. I was set for delivery in 5 days during which I used a cooler to keep perishables cold. I prepared my home for delivery. At the expected time I received a call..I would NOT be receiving the delivery. The truck couldn’t get on the Island, it would be another week & a half before delivery! Unacceptable! Another store will be delivering my refrigerator.

They have what I need 10/10 times. And I’m in and out very quickly.

I have a special fondness for this store. It was at this neighborhood store we purchased the tile, wainscotting, and light / plumbing fixtures for our bathroom renovations. It was at this store we found the adapters and hoses and wheelbarrows and plants for our home garden. It was at this store we ordered our tuff shed storage building. We became regulars and were greeted by the service counter staff by name. We got advice and direction by friendly familiar faces scouting the aisles. We often stroll the aisles and displays and dream of what we can purchase for our next project. The store on Harbor/Wilson is our Home Depot home store and it feels like home every time we visit.

I've been going to the Costa Mesa store since it opened. Prices are good (when possible), good variety of product, close to home, but the Costa Mesa Staff keeps me coming back. Thanks to all of you:)

I just bought a LG and got a terrific deal and all the ups and extras on the latest model. Sales guy was very knowledgeable and made a difference.

I went to get a key made and Maria had much more time for her 'own' kind and proceeded to carry on a lengthy conversation, 10 minutes, with two Hispanic gentlemen. Came to my time, a white woman, and she gave me less than 1 minute and did not key my key right. I had to return and same MARIA. Ugh! Tried to rekey it with same botched key. Did not look right, so returned it at front of store. Returned to start with a fresh key. She saw me coming and turned and left on break. So disrespectful and rude! No graciousness, politeness or eager to serve anyone, unless Hispanic so it seems. Very rude to turn and leave after I was running all over the place trying to correct it due to her error.

I came in looking for help and I got so much attention from Ed - making sure I selected the right product. Great store, great employees

Was looking for kitchen cabinets it was my only nearby store that had what I was looking for and were in excellent condition. Cashier was helpful and told me I could get up to 3 Home Depot cards which I did not know. Repair guy in rental section was also manning the rental desk and busy but was still super nice helpful and patient person. Same when I returned the truck too. A pleasureable shop experience all round.

there are many rude people in that store.. more than others.. but i have had some good experiences there..

Shopped at this store on a Saturday afternoon- noticed sales associates in appliance dept making fun of an elderly couple asking too many questions about a refrigerator-i said i heard their remarks and was disappointed in their behavior- at check out 5 employees standing around offering no assistance- finally went to self check out- needed assistance with a price not one of the employees standing around came to my aid- finally did not purchase item in question- will go to Home Depot on MacArthur- better service.

Better than the Santa Ana store. Go a couple of miles more and trade here.

I go into Home often because it's a convenient place for me to go .

Usually find what I need. It would be great to stock more made in the USA products and less Made in China. Better quality and probably cost more but that is ok.

Rude employees way too young no personality no manners. But an ice cream store encountered one nice boy in the refrigerator section and bought a beautiful plant hope it doesn’t die

The store is incredible and the service was exceptional! I would especially like to thank Dina, in the Garden Section, who helped make my trip both successful and enjoyable.

Very friendly and helpful employees and found items I needed.

I’m sure the in-store shopping experience is fine but the curbside pickup option has been an unpleasant experience. I’ve had more than one incident where I’ve received incorrect items and had my experience ruined by having to return back and physically go in the store. By shopping at this location with their constant errors, it takes more time out of my day and more gas by having to drive back after seeing that my orders are never properly and correctly fulfilled. I believe this store needs to train their employees to be a bit more competent in handling guests orders and overall customer service. I have encountered very nice employees here but I sadly think they are being overshadowed by the bad apples in the store. Unfortunately these experiences I’ve had at this location have been repeating and enough is enough for me. I will shop at a different location or other hardware store next for future purchases.

I love the Home Depot because they have so much excellent products, and the people are so helpful and friendly. I also love that THEY LOVE our veterans, and have special parking for them. They get 5 Stars in my book.

The service I received from Rick (who came over from gardening because Mike was on vacation was excellent! Prior to this I have purchased more than a thousand dollars of plumbing supplies over the past week or so and both Rick and Mike were exceptional with their attitude , knowledge and professionalism
