I stepped up to the self check out register and the screen stated "NO CASH ACCEPTED AT THIS REGISTER" so I used my debit card. When I was completing my purchase the screen asked if I wanted cash back so I entered "YES" and $50, which prompted help from a sales associate. I told her what happened and she said "That's why the register said no cash accepted". Yeah, that's what I want, someone to tell me how stupid I am or that I can't read. She seemed really annoyed and inconvenienced as she had to open the register and give me ten $5 bills. I am not the type to respond to sarcasm but if I was, I would have said 1) the screen said it does not accept cash, but it said nothing about dispensing cash and 2) if the register cannot dispense cash, why did it ask me if I wanted cash back? If the register could not dispense cash it should have read "no cash available for cash back transactions" and I would have been on my way. Instead I have a sales associate remind me what the screen read when I started my transaction - I don't need the attitude, I can go to Lowes or several other retailers to get the items that I used to buy at Home Depot. You just lost a long time customer.
