This Home Depot is much like other ones, but without any type of customer service. I made my trip to buy roller shades, which I already checked that there were 24 in stock, to only find one in the store. I understand instocks don't always match, but that's a pretty large discrepancy.
Anyways, getting to the department, I asked three associates for help and got the same answer from all: "that's not my department". So 10 minutes later I found someone from the department! I asked him if he could help me and he agreed, very disgruntled. He spent another 10 minutes looking through the roller shades that I already looked through, and couldn't find a second to match the one I had already. No surprise there!
He then proceeded to offer to cut a longer one down to size, for the same price as it would have been. So I agreed to that and thought that was a great way to keep the sale. He cut the one down to the 37" that I needed, and when I asked him to cut the 37.25" down to 37", he argued saying it'll fit fine and that I didn't know what I was talking about. As a 26 year old woman, I did take some sort of defense to that and decided to walk away with my two roller shades.
At the self checkout, I explained the situation for the price discrepancy, and she understood. So I thought. That took another 5 minutes!
Getting home I decided to install my shades. The first one that he cut fit well, so I go to install the next. Interestingly enough, it was about .25" too long for my window. So now I'm stuck going to Home Depot AGAIN for something that should have been a quick and easy trip. I'm very disappointed at the experience and I hope this letter finds itself to the right hands.
