We waited 20 minutes in line to check out in the garden area only to be told that the wait would be indefinite due to a customer asking for cash back and them not having cash. The cashier was not only rude about it, but she also refused to apologize for the wait. We went inside and waited another 20 minutes for the self check out to be available. Turns out some of the self check out registers were out of order. Again, no apologies from employees. Finally, the exit doors were broken and we had to take our heavy cart full of gravel the long way around. Worst experience at a home depot store ever.

I approached the return register with 3 items to return, 1 of which did not have packaging or a receipt. The associate, "T," tells me this is the first time she's had a chance to take a breath since she got there and that I needed to "just wait a minute." She looked at the item without packaging and said, "Oh, I can't take this, Hon! You gotta go find one and bring it to me. I don't have anyone on the floor, so you gotta do it." I took the item to locate a packaged one while my adult daughter remained to continue the return transaction. "T" told her to scribble for my signature and completed the return, crediting my credit card. I found the item in question and went back to the Service Desk. "T" was helping another customer, so I waited. When "T" was done, she called the next person in line while telling me, "Ya should've been quicker, Hon!" I continued to wait and was called by another associate, "A," who completed the remainder of my return. We had discussed my needs and as "A" was proceeding to help me, "T" felt the need to holler at "A," in front of me and other customers, "There's no receipt!" This had already been determined, so there was need to say anything. While "A" was finishing my return, she carried on pleasant conversation, to be told by "T" that there were "10 people waiting in line, Sweetie!" When the register was done printing my receipt, "A" handed it to me and offered me a good day. As I left I walked by the returns register and "T" tells me, "Move quicker next time, Sweetie!" Throughout my encounter "T" had a rude and condescending tone to her voice when talking with me, my daughter, other customers, and her fellow associate. This behavior was emphasized by the fact there was no supervisor to be seen, though I have been treated similarly with management present. Look out and beware who "helps" you at the Returns register!

During our visit , encountered Terre, actually on of her co-workers sent us to her (her knowledge must be highly respected). Terre spoke with us like we were old friends. She informed of about gowning and planting trees in Flagstaff. The what, where's, and how's! We even invited her to come home and help plant, she thanked us but declined. Anyway, what to thank Terre and Home Depot Eastside Flagstaff for the great experience and knowledge shared. A+!

Cashier was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Wish the floor help were more accessible and proactive in servicing customers. Overall good experience.
