5/7/2017 9:04 am This was the 1st of 3 visits over 4 hours. Each time I returned something that was defective. I needed a 6' HDMI cable. I found the cable display very confusing. Some packages matched the corresponding price tag; many didn't. The 6' cables should be on the 2nd row with the other 6' cables. I picked what I thought was a 6' cable from that row but it turned out to be 3' (which had to be returned as defective anyway.) Next trip, I discovered the 6' cables were where the 3' ones should have been! ​5/7/2017 12:12 PM This was my 2nd out of 3 trips. I bought a 3' cable accidentally the day before which turned out to be defective anyway and had to return it. It took multiple attempts to diagnose that the cable was defective. I had to try an old fashioned screw-on cable connection to determine if the cable box and TV were working (which they were) then tried the new cable on other TV's around the house to confirm that the cable was bad. (It was.) So, back to the confusing display at HD. I still needed a 6' HDMI cable that would work since the one I bought earlier that day was defective. I decided on a premium cable but because the cable display was confusing, I mistakenly picked up a 3' cable for the 2nd time. (I was in a hurry.) I also purchased a Decora cable connector and switch plate. When I got home, I discovered that one of the 2 screws on the switch plate had no slot - it was totally smooth so there was no way to screw it in. So, back to HD to replace a $.70 switch plate!​ ​5/7/2017 1:39 pm My 3rd of 3 visits in hours. I had to return the defective HDMI cable, purchase a 6' premium cable, and return a Decora switch plate with a defective screw head without a slot on top to screw it in. Having picked up the 1st switch plate in the display on my previous trip, I can't help but think it had been returned as defective. Instead of RTV'ing it, someone just put it back on the shelf. A manager comp'ed me the $.70 switch plate which was nice but didn't make up for all the trouble I'd been through.​ The 1st employee I approached was in the fastener section looking at a shelf. I politely asked if he could help me. He said nothing & kept looking at the shelf. I thought he hadn't heard me so I asked again more loudly. (I have a neighbor who is hard of hearing so I assumed he may not have limited hearing.) Irritated, only then did he say he'd be with me in a minute. I would have been happy to wait patiently but he showed no acknowledgement that I had asked him a question. When I was ready to check out, I spoke with a manager about the defective switch plate (asking that he ensure it doesn't get put back on the shelf) and he comp'ed me a $.70 replacement. He was very helpful, but it hardly made up for all the trouble I'd been through over the previous 4 hours.

Mo (Malka) eagerly waved us to one of the empty self check out registers and assisted by scanning our larger odd shaped items. She was personable and friendly. I elected the cash back option and in the midst of collecting my receipt and items, I forgot to take my money. As I left the store I heard a customer and Mo (Malka) calling me to come back. They handed me the money that was left at the register. Thank you so much to the wonderful customer and Mo (Malka).

You keep asking the question, did you need assistance, which I consistently answer NO. If a person answers "No" why is there a second question "Did you receive assistance from a Home Depot Person. Makes no sense to me. When someone responds NO to the first question; the second question as to why you didn't receive assistance is eliminated.

There was a light fixture on line that this store had had previously but had recently sold out of. This store would not order the fixture from another store to have delivered here so I could pick it up at my convenience. They said if I wanted it, I could travel 20 miles (40 roundtrip) out of my way to get it. Store policy. Customer dis-service was very evident. Wish there was a Lowes in New Rochelle, they have a friendlier "Store Policy." (One star because they require something.)
