Needed a new Dryer (ours died after 15 years) Phil in appliances was fantastic to work with. He even knew the model number of the LG Dryer we purchased (they must have sold a ton of them, it was a really good sale price) he set up our delivery, made sure I received my Veterans’s Discount and told us how to prepare for the delivery and to inspect every inch of it upon receipt. Good team player

i needed help to find a lawn mower and a dryer, i found someone that really went out of his way to help me, and he did, i bought both. he was very friendly and very helpful, "I'll be back!!!!

This Home Depot store has an excellent outdoor garden center. Staff for the most part have been friendly and helpful during my visits there.

Don't waste your time! These employees look at their fancy stock phones and send you on wild goose chases all over the store! No one wants to actually help you find anything! Go to Lowe's!

I cannot ever think of a single time where I've had anyone ask if I needed help. I go into this store and I like the products, but I better know what I want and where it is. its always clean with great products. today I needed nails for my new M18 16 gauge angle finish nailer. If it weren't for the Milwaukee rep in tools to help, I'd be leaving. 4 employees in the aisle, nobody said a word as I looked the shelves up and down. Eventually I'll find what I need on my own, but no EVER asks, " find what you're looking for" !

Customer service is key to any business. Since the management has poor CS you can imagine what your store visit will be like. If you have a return or a claim I urge you to follow up with them as they will purposely try to push it off in an attempt to expire their responsibilities.

Every time I go to the Portland Home Depot, they generally always have what I need. They also generally have very good prices on tools that I need and supplies or materials that I also need. The employees are always helpful, polite and respectful. They give a 10% Military discount that shows their corporate values and it is appreciated very much by the Veterans that I know. They sell brand name tools that perform well on the job.

My local Portland, Maine, HD store. I must report that I had an amazingly great personal service experience in the appliance dept and I was very well taken care of within the invisible confines of the appliance department alone. I spent an uncomfortable chunk of money ordering up a fridge to be delivered next week and the customer service in the appliance department was awesome. Thank you so much, Connie! 5 STARS FOR CONNIE!!!! All was going good until I headed to the front of the store to check out with my new pretty little can of paint. Things went down hill fast from that moment forward. It's 7 pm and the store posts that it is open until 9 pm. And yet, not a single register is open and the customer service desk will not cash me out. What? No one is is at the Pro desk. I loiter awkwardly at the front of the store for several minutes, hoping to pay for my single in-hand item and head home. An individual in an HD vest yells for me to head "down to the self check out area". Say what? Seriously? Unfortunately, after a great member of the sales team did a whole lot of one-on-one work to help me order up just the right appliance, I am no longer in the place of HD personal and attentive customer service . Now I have to fend for myself. Wow. If HD really wants to keep me as a customer, something is going to need to change. I have never worked as a cashier. I do not want to be a cashier. I am a customer. l like being a customer. I drove in my car for 20 minutes each way to visit the store. I bought gas for my car at 2.69 per gallon. That's 40 minutes of my life, plus parking time and walking time. I could have laid on my couch and ordered from someone else online and have never bought from HD or gone to HD. Instead I drove across town to your store with cash and a HD credit card. 22% interest. Please remember that I do not work for you. Maybe I don't belong here anymore? None of your fellow customers seem to be enjoying the "self check" experience, either. The urge to leave my pretty little pot of paint at the self check station and and walk out of the store is strong. Maybe you folks have a great long-term business plan about this front of the store staff and customers self-checking , but it makes me and a whole bunch of my fellow customers want to go elsewhere! Your "cashiers"tonight could have cashed us all out, but they wanted to "teach" us how to self check. I am not interested. I am YOUR customer when I am in your store. Please treat me as your customer and respect my role in our mutual business transaction. I am not your employee. I do not want to be in training. I do not want to check myself out. I can stay at home and complete my own transactions online in my comfy pj's without putting on my shoes or driving to your store. Please do not disrespect my efforts by "teaching" me to complete my personal purchases in your store with a faceless computer screen. After buying a major appliance from you for hundreds of dollars, I ultimately left the Portland, ME. store feeling disrespected and used. Please know that every single item in your store is available to all people like me without ever visiting your store even or purchasing from HD. Sincerely, Cheryl P. Portland. ME.

I have been shopping at the Portland store for over 12 years. I must say the customer service staff has been and always is top notch, just as Lisa and Dara were the other night. Friendly, helpful and fun to interact with. If you feel lost or just need help because the floor staff is busy or not available head to customer service and you’ll get an ample supply of help from a friendly and professional staff.

Home Depot #2401 has amazing customer service. They did a storm door install for me in 2007. When a warranty part broke in 2019 they sent over a installer to help with the installation, even though that was the responsibility of Andersen Storm doors rather than Home Depot. They are the best customer service in the home improvement business.

This store went above and beyond all expectations when I was doing a framing job in Westbrook and my nailer broke. I went to the store to rent a nailer. Was able to rent one got back to my job and the nails wouldn,t load. Back to HD and assisted one of the men in the rental department in finding out that there was a nail jammed up inside of it. They changed the rental time so that I wasn't charged for the time not using it.

Home Depot has been our go to store for all our remodeling needs. We are renovating our galley kitchen and two bathrooms. Our contractor recommended buying everything there. We have not been disappointed. We are selecting all the fixtures, floors, tiles, vanities, appliances, etc. It has been money well spent. The store is always very accommodating when we changed our mind and needed to return or exchange items. Kudos to the team at our local Home Depot!

Woodshop area has a better variety of products, a larger variety of home roof products in great customers assistance. I appreciate the employee that help to pick out the right products. It makes it convenient that the store does not change project locations constantly, which tends to confuse the customers.

This store was truly the best ever! Had an issue with something and it was taken care of, but then had to go back to re-order an item because of size issues and everything was handled very professionally. I was dealing with 3 employees, which all of them are top notch!!!!! They make you feel like a valued customer and you don't really see that much today. I am very impressed with this location and will do my business here from now on!!!!! It's a little out of my way for this location but well worth it!

This store does a great job in having the location of items in the store match the on-line location. They have an accurate indication on-line of quantities, prices and options, so that when I go to the store I can find the items for which I am looking. The customer service folks are great! The staff is helpful in locating stuff I neglected to look up on line.The store usually has a good selection of project materials.

the store itself is clean and orderly, but I have never had an experience there where I was asked, "Can I help you" and today was very much the same. The employees were friendly to each other but no one ever just openly asks, "you all set?/ need any help?/ finding everything alright?" . I think the selection is nice and sales are great, but when I need product knowledge, with myself being in this industry for 3 decades, I feel that there are few staff that can offer much in product knowledge, that I'm searching for.
