Excellent store

You can be proud of your Rutland, VT store and it's staff. They truly seem to enjoy their jobs and take the time to get to know their customers and heir needs. We are renovating a small lake house and have been stopping In Several times a week for small and large purchases... we are always greeted with smiles in each dept, regardless of how busy each staff member is at the time. We have been pleased with in store purchases as well as mail orders that we have picked up in this store.

I enjoy the positive environment at this store. They take care in displaying their items in a welcoming way and employees are easy to find when I need help getting something. Recently I got to work in the kitchen department with Libby and I loved it. She was so engaging and fun and creative and really helped me look at my design project in many different ways. I can’t wait to go back and work with her again!

For a large box store there is still a hometown feel.

Unlike other hardware vendors, this store offers specialists in each department, be it hardware, lumber, electrical, plumbing and gardening. Each time I am in the store, the respective are/department store employees are keen to whatever project I'm consigned to build. They are knowledgeable and experienced in their areas of expertise, and are most helpful, often suggesting a BETTER way to do the project, often saving money - which is always good for the budget! This is one of the BEST area hardware stores around, not only for their products and prices, but more importantly, for their people.

I have done many home improvements and love the products and friendly, courteous employees.

Great products, service a Super Customer Service

I sometimes goto the Rutland, Vermont Home Depot as much as 5 days a week.The staff there is always ready to assist me in anyway possible and that always makes my visits there a pleasure ! Hats off to everyone there. You all do a great job

Easy parking, great inventory, fair pricing and quick check out. What could be better?

Staff is very helpful and friendly. Mario in plumbing is the best. We nearly became best friends when I was working on a bathroom remodeling project and visited frequently for parts AND his helpful advice! Loon is very nice also. Sheila is amazing at the returns desk. Also, I love the way you have renovated the restrooms! 5 years ago they were very weak and underwent an upgrade. This year they were upgraded again and even to a higher standard. Nice job! Bathroom visits are a part of the customer experience so thank you for treating them as such. I also JUST noticed I am a Pro Xtra Member and I can see my 'points' on my receipt are almost 5,000. Now I need to know what that means and what I can do with those points!

Couldn't be happier with the service at Rutland Home Depot. Customer Service directed me to the location of my first item and there was an employee right there to guide me to the exact location. As I was headed towards the BATH Department, a young lady said hello and asked if she could be of help. I told her what I was looking for and she showed me the location of that item. She asked if she could be of further assistance and I said yes. She then took me to the location of the last item and made several helpful suggestions. She made my shopping experience a pleasure.

My experience purchasing a new refrigerator was quick and easy in both time and having all the information I needed to make my purchase a snap.

Shelby was very nice and I appreciated her taking the time to ring me out at the service desk. She is always very pleasant every time I see her there.

This store is clean, well stocked, and the variety of products to be had makes it very easy to do"one stop shopping". The staff are friendly and willing to take time to help and answer any questions you have about the appropriateness of the product being considered, ie: wat type of flooring is best for a 3 season enclosed porch. All in all, I think this Home Depot is an asset to the Rutland area.

Home Depot is the place to go for immediate customer service that is excellent and prices that also come with a money back garauntee that cannot be beat.

Prompt phone service to order and set up delivery.

The only thing I would recommend: In having a receipt emailed to a customer, the customer must enter their email address on the credit card reader with a stylus. If there is a single backspace needed to correct a mistake the customer has to start over. The screen is very small and it is very easy to accidently miss-type something as complicated as an email address. I recommend you have the attendant at the register enter the email, like STAPLES and Aubuchons. The Rutland store is clean, neat, well stocked and even in off hours seems to have plenty of people who can help you with anything you need. I noticed there were a couple of places where employees were moving stuff with a forklift. They had the area penned off from customer traffic with wall mounted metal gates. Impressive customer safety protocol. Nice place to shop.

Everyone at this Home Depot are friendly, professional, and so helpful. They all make the shopping experience hassle free. Thanks too to Andy Shaw the store manager who is always willing to please should something may not be quite right.

Employees are friendly, but the store is generally understaffed. Sometimes shelves are empty of products that are in the back, just no one to stock shelves or replenish stock. Convenient location, large parking lot, well lit, convenient hours. This Home Depot would be better if employees were educated on products and how things work, what would make one product a better purchase over another, etc. In general, a good store.

As this is the only store close by, many homeowners and DIY customers depend on salespeople who have some knowledge about the products in the store. Most times it's difficult to locate any assist for the many departments and when you do, they don't know about the item or product and go about just reading the label/directions for you-something I'm completely capable of doing or have already done. While there are a few exceptions to this experience and some staff is friendly and welcoming, it's usually the "norm" when shopping.

I sought four products: mineral oil, 5 closet door knobs, three round white telephone landline outlet covers, and bi-fold closet door hardware. I decided against the knobs because selection was limited and they are expensive. The store does not have mineral oil -- the sales person brought out mineral spirits !! -- not what I needed; I found the closet door hardware but I had a number of questions and there was no one available to ask.

I have found the employees especially helpful and ready to help. During my last visit, John Flak helped me and I found him to be extremely helpful!

Friendly, Helpful Staff. There was people to help without having to wonder forever to find someone. It was nice to have help without being treated in a sexist way many "male-oriented" store treat me. I grew up in a woodworking shop with my step dad, my father was a machinist, and I work for a diesel engine / large equipment repair facility. So being treated as an equal says a lot. I will make the hour trip to this store anytime before I go to the store an hour north of me!
