The store was extremely dirty nothing I needed was in stock. Once I finally found an associate he wasn't very friendly asking if there's any changes in the store recently said new management came in and everybody hates it. Wouldn't help me find my tools but felt it be okay to bad-mouth the management in the store, must say a lot about management

Although this particular receipt isn't linked to the exact issue (purchase) at hand both transactions were completed on the same day just different times at different registers. With that little background being said let's get started: So me and my partner walk into the store to rent an extension ladder, after talking with the guy about sizes he starts the process during the process we ask him "so it's $32 to rent this ladder until tomorrow?" His exact words were "ugh.. yeah that sounds about right" we then ask him what time the ladder needs to be back tomorrow. He tells us 0945 but then say how "if you bring it back a few minutes late they'll just charge you a couple bucks extra. If you bring it more than 2 hours after it's due then they charge you another day". We processed the purchase and went on to shop for other items needed. During this time I spent an additional hour in your store(outside of the time spent renting the ladder) searching for products and was only approached one time by an employee asking me if I was okay and needed help. And although he tried his hardest to understand what I was telling him and help he just wasn't getting it. He offered to get someone from the department in question but shortly returned advising me that you just don't carry what I was looking for. To add fuel to the fire here I am the following day after renting this ladder and I'm told that since I didn't bring the ladder back before 9 I was already charged an extra day and the price for renting is over $50 not $32 like I had originally been told. This experience was complete s**t! And I say this as a former Home Depot employee from years ago who worked at store 3502 and cottonwood for several years. I'm not sure if it's just this store or all but the customer service has went downhill over the years.

This store has many items in their clearance/reduced ticket areas that are not marked/priced. When no one was waiting I was using their self check-out kiosks to do price checks on the items and returning them to where I found them if i wasnt buying them, so I would not tie up any cashiers or floor staff for anyone who needed them. While using the kiosk an employee rudely and aggressively hurried me over to customer service to check the prices, one item their system didnt recognize, and then sent me to the return desk to check out. After putting my things in my car I decided to go back in to get the name of the rude employee for the receipt survey,, "Jesse James" was written on his apron. I realized then I was followed out and as I approached the store I was told I was not allowed back in because I brought in a "red bag" and left it in the store, the police had been called and to "wait here" . The bag being "http://www.homedepot.com/p/Great-Innovations-Keep-It-Cold-5-gal-Portable-Bucket-Cooler-BUCKETCOOL-RED/205176103?keyword=keep+it+cold" which was one of the items that was not marked. While waiting an officer did drive by that I expected to stop but did not, I would have waved him down. After waiting about 20 minutes I went home and have been waiting for an officer to show up, assuming they got my license plate when they followed me out. A survey screen said that a manager will contact me within 7 days. If we cant find a satisfactory resolution then I'll post this review any website I can and notify the local news agencies at their community forums

I did have an unpleasant shopping experience at this store and wrote a letter to the management staff a few weeks ago. This visit was amazing!! Everyone I came in contact with was pleasant and customer service oriented. I did not see the 2 associates I wrote the complaint about at all! From Lynda at the return desk when I entered to Gil who helped me to Odie who was recommending hot water heater and furnace replacements to the associate at the self service checkout they were all friendly and knowledgeable and went out of their way to help me. Keep up the good work on your customer service focus! It's working!
