I found the store as always clean, neat and well stocked. Personnel were attentive. My only complaint is the current policy for a military discount. My service was during the VietNam era and upon my honorable discharge (after having been drafted) I was only issued a DD214 which, up until now, was sufficient, with the presentation of my driver's license and the DD214, to obtain my veteran's discount which, by the way, was appreciated. On my most recent visit to your store I was told that after this purchase the policy has changed and the DD214 form will no longer be accepted as proof of military service. To my knowledge everyone prior to and many post my discharge date have no other documentation to fulfill your new requirements. I can live with this but I feel that it IS a slap to the older generations-intentional or not. Hopefully this policy will be reviewed as I can see no logical reason for the change.

The store is in great shape with product availability and good organization. The really positive part of shopping here (Seneca St. Eugene store) is the associates! My experience with Christina in Window Coverings, Susan in Paint and Max in Garden has been excellent. They are helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant. All three are examples of exemplary customer service. In the past I have also had positive experience with several other associates. As a result of these interactions, I generally look forward to shopping there. (and generally spending too much money - often on products or services I may not really need.)

WHILE USING THE SELF-CHECKOUT, I NOTICED THAT AN ITEM I PURCHASED RANG UP AT A HIGHER COST THAN WHAT WAS LISTED ON THE BARCODE SHELF. WHEN I ASKED MAURIE, THE ASSOCIATE MANNING THE SELF CHECK-OUT REGISTERS TO VERIFY THE PRICE, HE RESPONDED, "WELL, WHAT DID IT RING UP AS." I TOLD HIM AND HE RESPONDED, "WELL, THEN THAT'S THE PRICE!" I ASKED HIM TO PLEASE CHECK, HE BEGRUDGINGLY DID AND SAID, "YOU WERE RIGHT," AND CREDITED ME THE OVERCHARGE. NO APOLOGY, OF COURSE.
LOWE'S ASSOCIATES ARE ALWAYS SO PLEASANT.

I BOUGHT A WASHER AND DRYER BUT THE DELIVERY PEOPLE SAID HOME DEPOT WOULD NOT ALLOW THEM TO INSTALL THE APPLIANCES. CLAIMED I NEEDED TO GET A SMALLER ELECTRICAL OUTLET, SAID MINE WAS RATED AT 50 AMPS AND THEY COULD ONLY INSTALL IN A 30 AMP OUTLET. GO FIGURE. I PAID ANOTHER COMPANY TO CONNECT THE WASHER AND DRYER. LAST TIME I WILL PURCHASE AN APPLIANCE FROM HOME DEPOT. I CALLED THE STORE AND THEY SAID TOO BAD.

I went in to buy some perennial plants, and buy mulch.
There were two associates there waiting to load a bbq grill for a customer, and they smiled and asked if I needed assistance. I stated when I was coming out, as I was going to purchase some mulch.
Tison and Travis loaded the bbq grill, and I was through checking out, so they assisted me, by loading the 8 bags of mulch into the trunk of my car! They smiled, and made conversation with me as well, these were young men in their 20's and I am over 60 ~ very nice to have associates that aren't afraid to make conversation with folks older than they are! It was very pleasant and a wonderful experience. I will recommend this Home Depot to folks, and I will return.

I was attempting to work on my sprinkler system and one of the plumbing emploees came to my rescue and showed me exactly what I needed in order to reach every part of my yard!

Overall good experience. The only improvement would be the time it took the service desk associate to get someone to unlock and bring the grill we bought over took her trying 5 people before one wasn't busy or on break.
