Manager fixed dryer vent that delivery broke and then denied doing it. He fixed it in the rain! The delivery men could not use the dryer vent that I purchased and said they would return it and I would get a credit. They didn't! Customer service reviewed and gave me my credit for the item that the delivery service did not return. If this company is the only one HD uses for delivering appliances, I definite would not purchase. A few days after the men left I noticed a broken gutter drain and since no one else was at the house and it's where they parked the truck I'm sure they broke that too, but I have no proof; which wouldn't matter since their company said the brken vent was my word against theirs, even though I saw them at the vent. Home Depot came and fixed the vent and I am extremely thankful to them!

I was happy to find a discounted cordless drill on Saturday at the HD in Wallingford and was assured multiple times that the item was complete, just being discounted because it was demo. I went to use it on Sunday and found there was no charger with the unit. That would be bad enough, but I drove 38 miles to return the item and was met with a very rude clerk who through her coworkers under the bus and told me I could not get an alternate item and that "they need to be trained." I explained that I drove 45 minutes to get there, and that I had to leave home early to make it to work, and asked if I wasn't due some type of consideration. The answer: "Nope. It was a demo and the staff didn't know what they were talking about."

OUT OF PAINT - PROJECT NOT FINISHED: Brian not only came over to help (seeing me in distress and pacing to find what I needed), he was able to match the price of the item they were out of (why I couldn't find it)! He even walked my paint cans over to the cashier to make sure there wouldn't be a problem with the new price code he made. I was so exhausted and didn't have it in me to hunt someone down. Had he not come over to help me, I would have just given up and left.
