My husband and I just spent the afternoon at the Home Depot store in West Cobb on Dallas Highway in Marietta. We had a long list of items to buy from many different departments. We went from appliance, to doors, faucets, garage door openers, lumbar and carpet. No sales person approached us in any department except appliances. We bought two storm doors and a sliding patio door. It was very hard to make sure we got each piece correctly, including which needed to be stationary and which to be fixed. Which went together. No help was given in the department. We still hope we chose the right pieces.
At the register, my husband had to scan our items himself because the poor little lady at the cash register was not strong or tall enough to do it herself. She was very nice and helpful otherwise.
No help was offered to take the items outside or to help load them in the truck. We are not young people. My husband is 59 and I am 61. A young man named Adam walked by retrieving carts while we were loading and offered no assistance. My husband went into the store and asked for the manager. The "acting" manager was very apologetic and asked us to contact you and do the survey found on the receipt.
We have been loyal customers at your Home Depot since it opened. Not only for items that we need for our home, but also for my husband's place of employment. He has a corporate card and spends money on tools and other items needed for his job. Needless to say we will be looking for alternative places to shop. There is Lowe's a half mile away.
