A more likely result is that you would fail and put a plumber in actual danger if that crud comes right back up and splashes said plumber's face, chest and torso. That stuff is bad news. Use mechanical means to clear a blockage, hook it back or blow it forward with air. Don't use something that so easily backfires as chemical bombs in your pipes. Read Less

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by New sink and drain were misaligned with plumbing drain line just enough to cause a slow leak at one end of the p trap connection. This trap worked perfectly. Had to cut it down a bit to fit the 1 1/2" drain - which was simple to do with scissors. I love easy and this p trip went on in about 2 minutes and handled the leak. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Replaced leaking plastic connectors in main bathroom in 2008 with this drain trap. Still going strong. No leaks or issues. September 10, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do NOT buy this junk I installed this p-trap about 8 months ago to solve a problem of my new sink not quite aligning with the old plumbing. Worked great. For the last couple of months we have noticed a sewer gas smell coming from that sink. It made no sense, since the fittings were all tight. Finally took this p-trap off, and it is growing mold inside and STINKS of sewer gas smell. Whatever it is made of is NOT adequate to inhibit the growth of mold and mildew. This is completely unacceptable. Avoid this piece of junk. July 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by p-trap Wow! This p-trap is a life saver! I replaced a batheroom sink and the drain was about an inch offset to the p-trap. This flexible p-trap did the trick. January 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fits well, no leaks The metal pipe was coming from the wall and had male threaded end facing down. Traditional plastic traps would always leak. I tried 2 different ones. And no matter what I did, they leaked. Finally I gave in and bought this. Giving in doesn't mean it's a last resort purchase, I just wanted something that looked like the original and this rubber thing didn't look like it would really hold out. I was wrong. This thing was super easy to install, less than 10 minutes and has held out for months now. September 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good problem solver for home garbage disposal Seems like every time I replace an old garbage disposal with a new one I run into problems with plastic traps and connections that don't quite fit as designed. This little flexible trap fixes the leaks with much left effort. I cut off the 1 1/4 IN. end to fit my pipes which were both 1 1/2 IN. outside diameter and it worked perfectly. July 22, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by quick, easy and painless This solved a somewhat intimidating plumbing problem. It was inexpensive and very easy to install. So far, so good! December 4, 2012
