Customer Reviews

1-1/4 in. Deep Soak Max Drain is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 63.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from JUNK !!!!! Stopper never worked! Chrome at top and bottom are now pitting. Only in service for 6 months, couldn't be more displeased. What a piece of junk! Consumers need to avoid the tub that requires this overflow. What a shame for a company to sell this trash. Only alternative is to replace ever six months at a price of $75.00 to keep a newly remodeled bath looking new, Buyer beware!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from At least it's pretty I bought this drain because it's the only one that will fit my American Standard Jet tub. It was fairly easy to install (with 2 people) and is sturdy. The problem I've had is that the drain will not adjust enough to get a good seal and hold water. I came on here to see if others had this problem and had found a solution. Seems almost everyone had a problem with this and the only real solution I saw was to use a rubber stopper. I hate that I have this really nice and expensive drain and now it seems I'll be using a rubber plug. :-( . But at least it's pretty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love the deep tub design but the components = junk As most people on here have said the drain won't close or pop open correctly after 6 months to a year and the sticker that covers the screws peels off and looks gross.Water was leaking through to the basement so I took the top apart to take a look and the gasket had already fallen apart. Searching the website brought me here, still can't find a replacement gasket.

Waiting on replacement parts from Kohler, so I can use my new whirlpool tub. Hopefully the contractor can fit me in the schedule when the piece comes. At least I can say the customer service was good.

Bathroom not quite finished yet, but I had NO PROBLEM installing product, and drain sealed properly after minor adjustment. I have had issues with pop-up drains before, and that is a possible issue, however the brass product is good quality.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buy something else! Got the more expensive deep soak drain because of the bad reviews for the cheaper ones. I figured it would be a safer bet that I would not have any problems. I WAS WRONG! The pop up DOES NOT POP UP and it DOES NOT HOLD WATER when it is down either. So now I have a beautiful new American Standard whirlpool tub that I can not use until the new drain arrives. BTW although I did most of the bathroom renovations myself, this piece of junk I had installed by a professional. I am surprised and disappointed a company like American Standard puts it's name on this product!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap! The drain stopper broke within the first 6 months of owning. No replacement parts. We have had the tub for 5 years and still no replacement parts. Be ready to spend more money to replace. Very difficult to clean as well!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Supplied gasket is wrong size Bought this drain to go with an American Standard soaking tub I purchase at the same time. Installed this drain and it leaked like a sieve. With the drain screwed in as tight as possible, the gasket still had a 1/32 gap between it and the tub bottom. Once I realized the gasket was the wrong size, I went back to Home Depot and bought a Danco tub drain gasket p/n 88349 which is 3/8" thick and problem solved. Otherwise the drain appears to work pretty well. I'm giving a low rating, due to the hassle of having to install several times to diagnose the problem and having to make and additional trip to get the part that should have come with the product in the first place. This drain is supposed to be specifically designed for the tub I purchased.
