There are many reviews saying that the toe tap failed within 6 months of installation. Is there an alternate trap style that can be installed to avoid using this unreliable style?

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 38 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice solid part Not much to say. This is a nice solid drain. No surprises and looks and functions well. January 9, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This deep max drain doesn't hold water I had this tub and drain installed four months ago. When you try and take a bath the drain doesn't hold water and makes a loud annoying sound. It is really hard to get it to actually work. Now to change it will cost me a lot since all the work was custom. May 11, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Buy something else! Got the more expensive deep soak drain because of the bad reviews for the cheaper ones. I figured it would be a safer bet that I would not have any problems. I WAS WRONG! The pop up DOES NOT POP UP and it DOES NOT HOLD WATER when it is down either. So now I have a beautiful new American Standard whirlpool tub that I can not use until the new drain arrives. BTW although I did most of the bathroom renovations myself, this piece of junk I had installed by a professional. I am surprised and disappointed a company like American Standard puts it's name on this product! September 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by works as advertized I'd recommend, because this is a necessity with certain deep soaker tubs - no options. I knew it wouldn't be simple to install but my plumber did it, so no biggie there. My only complaint is that the white cover for the drain and overflow are not the same white as the Am Std tub. That's a bummer, but a small issue in an overall bath remodel. October 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT PRODUCT! THIS DRAIN WAS EASY TO INSTALL. I DIDN'T TAKE MY HUSBAND LONG AT ALL AND IT LOOKS GREAT WITH OUR NEW SOAK TUB FROM HOME DEPOT. WE ORDERED THEM BOTH ONLINE AND PICKED OUR TUB UP IN THE STORE. IT WAS SO EASY! September 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stopper needs new design! As others have noted, the stopper quit working - mine after about 4 months' use. Very disappointing. You'd think they would have re-designed this by now. I'm currently using a rubber stopper. This - after a very expensive snazzy bathroom re-model. I feel especially wronged, since it's the only drain that works with the tub, and it cost a LOT to have it installed. December 28, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible As stated in other reviews, the stopper mechanism is flimsy and breaks easily. Ours lasted approximately 6 months. December 7, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by As other reviews say, the drain looks nice, but after 6 months it failed and stopped baking able to hold water in the tub. A lever-type design would seemingly be much sturdier and more durable, and likely available at a lower price. December 3, 2015
