Do u have a board measuring 1-1/8 X 30 X 54, or something bigger that I can cut down?

Asked by: Jrg
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot, Jrg. The 1-1/8 in. x 23-1/4 in. x 4 ft. Edge-Glued Board is not sold online but in your local Home Depot store. To determine availability you will need to localize the item online by using a zip code. Unfortunately, if you are unable to see the store inventory, then it’s most likely not a stocked item in your area. You may also want to call or stop by your local Home Depot store and talk to one of our professionals. Thank you for shopping with The Home Depot!

Is it okay to use this a wall shelf in garage by attaching L-brackets. How much weight would it hold?

Asked by: Yash
That would depend on how many brackets, how they were attached, and how big the brackets were. If the brackets are placed on every stud, and were at least 2/3 the width of the shelf, I would confidently put more than 150 pounds on it. Be sure to paint or seal pine, as it cups in moist environments.

Customer Reviews

1-1/8 in. x 23-1/4 in. x 4 ft. Edge-Glued Board is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Thick pine board easy to work with I have used this thick laminated pine board on a couple of projects now and am very happy with it. My projects have been a combination of desk top and bookshelves and it was easy to work with using both track saw and router. It paints just fine. Staining is a bit irregular, but for my purpose it was just the look I wanted. I would give it five stars, but in the store I saw a few pieces where there were small gaps between the laminates. I hope that doesn't occur with my finished project and if not, five stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value I picked this up to cheaply expand our kitchen counter. Edgbanded with 1x2 and given several coats of shellac, it looks better than I expected. The filler they used in larger knots and flaws doesn't look obvious, and with care you can pick out a piece with good edges. I plan on using an 18"x4' for a bench to complete this phase of the kitchen remodel.
