Questions & Answers

what size screws do you recommend with these?

i bought these thinking that they were the coolest, but found that the hole in the bracket was too big for my drywall screws to grab. the screw when into the hole just fine but the screw's threads didn't catch to pull the screw head into the drywall. i added a piece of wood behind the drywall and that caught the screw. what size (thickness) of screw do you recomment to make these effective?
Asked by: fredthewhale
If I am not mistaken, these clips are designed to attach 2 pieces of drywall (but joint) at their edges. Slip the bracket over the edge of one piece with the tabs on the visible edge of the drywall, place the second drywall piece or patch and screw the drywall screw through the drywall into the flange behind (the part with many small holes) on the edge of each drywall piece. After secure, the 2 tabs showing are bent up and break off below the edge of the drywall pieces. I am not sure if there is any use for the center hole.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! These work great!. Really impressed. Had to repair a 8" x 10" hole in my ceiling. Cut a piece of drywall to fit, slipped these on, screwed in, and was in business. Clips snapped off cleanly below the seam after they were screwed in place. Very nice product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sheetrock Clips I used this product to fix a wall I had to cut a hole into. Once the clips are in place, and you screw the sheetrock into it, the sheetrock stays in place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is something I have been needing for a long time on my repair work. This item takes a lot less time to be able to repair holes in drywall and it is not anytime before I am taping and applying patching compound.
