Customer Reviews

1/4 in. O.D. x 1/4 in. I.D. x 10 ft. PVC Icemaker Supply Line is rated 1.9 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT FOR DRINKING WATER !!! I easily installed it on a new refrigerator on which I bypassed the filter (the County water tastes just fine). After multiple flushings over a period of a week, it still had the taste of PVC. I returned the hose to the store and installed a coil of copper tubing. I'm sure it would be great for anything other than drinking water or ice makers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Taste Since I read other reviews that mentioned a bad taste, I flushed the line very well before installing it. Installing the product is a snap - no leaks. The taste of the ice is unbearable. And now, after several weeks, it has become evident that the bad taste is not going away, I am returning the product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from why would a product like this be manufactured? I am not a plumber. I fear compression fittings because I was told over tightening is fatal; when I redid my home with a copper tube it took four interval checks where a drop squeezed out and I responded with 1/8 turn before it stopped leaking. This thing, tighten and you're good to go; take it off, put it back, no problem. Now, the problem. The ice ruined any drink it was put into because of its chemical and plastic very strong taste. I ran through 2 gallons when I installed it because I read the reviews. Still, the ice was vile and unusable, and after three weeks we dumped this item and bought a stainless steel supply line from Lowe's. I went there because the well reviewed Everbilt stainless supply from HD, though almost the same price as this aberration, was listed as available, but it wasn't. I personally drove to 4 HD's and chatted twice with customer service for a total of over an hour and they finally concluded they didn't have the 9 or more listed for each store and there was some mistake they couldn't figure out!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Water Taste Terrible. No matter what I did I could expel the awful plastic rubbery taste in the water. Replaced it with the GE Quick Connect grey water line and water is back to normal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Taste At first it wasn't that bad but 4 months later it started tasting worse and worse. I just replaced it and took a sip directly from the hose. Awful... this thing gotta be leeching some nasty chemicals.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad taste after 2 weeks I saw the reviews about bad tasting water and ignored them. After 2 weeks of making ice they still had a bad taste. I returned the Watts product and after 1 day the new line did not have any bad taste. The packaging did not have a phone number to call and discuss the problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Strong Plastic Taste Excellent supply line in appearance only. This has been installed for over two weeks now and there is a horrendous plastic taste that will not weaken or go away. I'm returning this awful line as soon as my new line from Amazon arrives.
