Hello, my name is Jay with KOHLER Customer Service. I am happy to assist you with your valve question.
GP7705-CP is not a good model number. The GP77005-RP is a hot ceramic valve. For additional assistance on this inquiry, please contact our Customer Care Center at 1-800-4KOHLER. (1-800-456-4537)

How Do I Remove the Handle?

I have a Revival widespread Sink faucet. The hot water valve (77005) needs to be replaced but I can't figure out how to first remove the handle from the faucet, which has to be done before accessing the flange and the cartridge. I think there is a little tab on the end of the handle which needs to be pried off to access a set screw but I haven't been able to find any gap to get my Stanley knife in order to gently jimmy it off. The handle sure seems to be just one solid piece with no end cap, but I'm pretty sure it isn't....

Kohler, why don't you include a handle schematic in your instructions any more, which you definitely used to, because I installed the faucets myself a number of years ago. Please advise. Thanks

Hello, my name is Leah with KOHLER Customer Service. I am happy to assist you with your faucet question.
I apologize you were unable to find the information you were looking for. To remove the handle on the Revival kitchen faucet, model 16109, you will unthread the entire handle at the base of the bell shaped or skirt shaped base. If it is difficult to unthread counter clockwise I recommend using a strap wrench for assistance. Also, if you see any visible buildup, a washcloth or paper towel, soaked in a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and warm water can be placed around the base of the handle for approximately one hour to break up any hard water build up to easily unthread.
Please work with your local Home Depot for pricing and availability on this product.
