Customer Reviews

1,500 Watt Ceramic Utility Portable Heater - DISCONTINUED is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Solid little heater, but thermostat ineffective I purchased this heater to heat a 9x9x7 isolated area that I built for painting parts. I heats up the area quickly, but the thermostat is not sensative enough to maintain a given temperature. It's basically on or off...and might just as well have come with an on and off control only....all the controls are useless. Because of this, I can't leave it unattended. A more sensative thermostat would have made this more useful for me. I would not reccomend this product because it doesn't perform as stated. The jury is still out on it's energy usage, but it makes my electric meter spin pretty quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from heater just right for small work areas such as bathrooms small rooms heats up quick and is an interest size rather than standard square model. 5 stars are the ratings and price was good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very quiet My main concern when buying this was the noise level of the fan as it would be used in a bedroom. It is much quieter than expected. It has been difficult to find a quiet portable relatively inexpensive fan.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from blew a fuse within 15 minutes Bought two of these for a small studio space... chose this model because of its features and what do you know, it didn't live up to ANY of them and went kaput within 15 minutes of plugging it in. Will be returning these.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lots of heat, fan is weak I thought with this design and being ceramic, it would heat a larger area. The unit does give off a lot of heat, however the fan is very weak, and does not blow the heat throughout the living area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from fairly effective for the price Saying this heater will work up to 120'^2 is a bit of a stretch. It took about two hours for me to feel a noticeable difference. Also, out of the box the fan rattled. Wailing on the unit a little stopped it, though. Overall if you're looking for a good little cheap unit to heat very small rooms or to keep under your desk pointed at your legs you can't do much better than this, especially for the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "Lil' Salamander" I like to think this is a little Salamander type heater just on its first appearances. It however is electric. It heats well, bot as promptly as i wish i would, but it does make a noticeable difference. If form over function is your thing though, look elsewhere. It may not have aesthetic appeal, but its a good price and it works... even if it has to be hidden under my desk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent to use in room that needs just a touch of heat. The master bathroom sits off garage. The room is always cold and if raining, its damp. During the last rain a few nights ago, made the room easier to enter during the night. Great addition. Supposed to be easier on the electric bill than moving the thermostat upward.
