Answer:
Yes. It holds paint very well. Use an indoor high quality paint, preferably an eggshell finish in lieu of matte for added protection.

Answer:
Yes. Use an oil based paint for indoor use and a paint roller for best results to avoid brush strokes. I used an eggshell (as opposed to gloss) for some panels on the wall.

Answer:
Yes. It can be painted. I used a product from Home Depot to paint some of mine--indoor (I used eggshell as opposed to gloss) adheres perfectly to the silky coating and is very resilient and can be wiped clean if needed. Use a roller brush so you don't get brush strokes...happy painting.

Though I have heard people state they used this product outdoors, it is primarily for indoor use. It does not hold up well to moisture or water damage. Even when painted, it needs to be sheltered from moisture and rain.

Answer:
It can be stained if using a stain mixed with polyurethane. There is no grain to absorb the stain like on real wood, but with a poly mixture, it should adhere to the panels.

The polyurethane gives added protection from damage also, but these are not waterproof, even with the added coat. From experience, I can tell you that oil-based indoor paint works great on these. Trying the polyurethane option this week...but not sure yet. Read Less

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by What I expected for being cheap It is what it is. It is super thin. 2 days after hanging, BEnds like crazy while trying to hang it. Is nice though carrying through small doorways because you can just flex it around corners. I find myself going back and renailing everywhere because it flexes really bad with any change in temp. I would spent the extra few bucks per sheet and get a little better quality. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wow!!! Amazing Product I am so thrilled. But don't take my word for it. A picture is worth a thousand words (below). I saw this product and had to try it as flooring because the flooring materials were outrageously expensive and hard to work with and messy and sticky. This exceeded my expectations and my family's beyond imagination! It is just beautiful. If you mess up a piece (my son scraped a section moving the fridge) you can just pull it up and replace it. Nail it down. No glue. Sturdy. And visitors swear it is wood flooring because it has faux grain patterns. One friend reached down and felt it... :) It is nice and silky feeling. Water resistant. Can damp mop right over it or vacuum. It has no odor at all. We had horrible flooring, so we chose to pressboard underneath to even it out. The entire room cost under $45 with 4x8 sheets, so we did the entire house. Put an area rug in the living room so now it is an excellent and comfortable living space. It is not heavy at all. You can cut it with a straight razor and break to size or with a saw for perfect edges. But it is very strong. My son is rough and tough and has dropped hammers on it with no damage (so far). Plus, our power bill is already lower because it insulated the floors. Excellent, excellent!!! Can't say enough. July 16, 2015
