This is not the best painter's tape I have ever used. Upon initial application, it does not appear / feel particularly sticky, which can actually make it somewhat tricky to apply. It seems to take a moment to begin to adhere, as strange as that sounds. But once it does, it has a combination of too much adhesion and bad adhesion at the edges.
I used this on some stairs and to paint some stripes on several walls. After dealing with the weird application / adhesion issues, I was able to paint the walls in my stairwell and the stripes in a bedroom. I removed the tape within hours of painting; in both locations it was the same day, and no longer than three or four hours after painting. There were a number of spots where the tape did not adhere properly along the edges, and the paint managed to seep under the tape in those spots, ruining the line. In several locations, the tape adhered to the original wall paint too well, and actually pulled it off of the wall. In one location, the tape even managed to pull two coats of paint and the paper off of the drywall.
You can see some examples of these edge and adhesion issues in my pictures.
I may use this for corners or baseboards in the future, but I will not use it for striping, edging around woodwork or cabinetry or any place that I do not want paint to leak through onto a finished, non painted surface.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Termie A little TOO easy to take off
The manufacturer notes that this product is very easy to remove, and will not damage surfaces or leave adhesive on the wall. These statements are both true, but unfortunately, they also mean that the product simply doesn't have a lot of tackiness. While I was applying the tape, I found that it would come undone on its own whenever taped around edges, like a door frame. And once I started painting, I could easily knock the tape off with my roller if I hit it from the side - it's basically just barely hanging on to the wall at all times.
I like what the manufacturer is trying to do with this tape, but they just have to go back to the drawing board and make it a bit more tacky.

Accidentally grabbed this thinking it was 3m.
This is undoubtedly the worst tape I have ever used. Does not adhere to walls. Pure junk. I am ashamed of Home Depot for even selling this garbage. At first thought I believed it to be cheap Chinese product like much else. But on further investigation I find it is made in Poland. Who'd a thunk?
You'd be better off licking dollar bills and trying to stick them to the wall.
Do not buy this. Hopefully Home Depot will discontinue it and save a lot of people some grief and aggravation.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Jaya Just get the Scotch Blue kind. This doesn't save you any money.
In my view, painter's tape has exactly one job - stick to the surface long enough to prevent paint from getting on what you're taping. This stuff? Nope. The ends of the tape peel right up, which is annoying when you're painting AND gets paint in between pieces of tape. Total fail. I had to tape over other tape, totally wasting the roll, and I will have to re-tape to repaint the white surfaces I was trying to protect. This does not do its job. Just get the Scotch Blue kind. This stuff is not worth it - you don't save money in the end anyway when you use up extra to try and get it to do its job.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Flyfisher Buy the REAL BLUE TAPE
Unless you plan to tape and paint immediately, it is better to spend the extra few bucks on the REAL blue tape. This imitation tape doesn't stick very well. If left over night, it is halfway pelled off.
