Customer Reviews

1-Gang Horizontal or Vertical Mount Weatherproof While in Use Cover Kit is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Installation and works well The combination GFCI Outlet and Cover Kit were a better value than purchasing the indiviidual GFCI outlet and sperate Cover Kit. Installation was very easy. The clear acrylic cover should only be used in locations that are not exposed to sunlight as this may lead to the cover becoming brittle and cracking over time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to install. The homedepot associate recommened this for the ease of installation. I would recommened this product to anyone with little electrical experience. The instructions covered everything from start to finish.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Take a look at my review This weatherproof kit is not weatherproof. If it is the slightest bit of moisture the GFCI trips. IF it actually rains the GFCI stays tripped for days. This "weatherproof" kit has been trouble from day one and is complete bad product. Will be pulling this piece of garbage apart soon and returning the entire kit. JUNK!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mounting Tabs are poorly resigned, but can be worked around This is a good product except for the self tapping screws that hold the mounting tabs in place. They strip out easily and I wouldn't trust them to hold if someone pulled the plug on a cord. What I did was to drill holes in the back of the box (there are four molding marks that helped me) and screwed the box to my siding. Very firm hold now. The hornet cover piece doesn't code around the cord fully so I will need to work on that problem. Other than that it went together easily and worked great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy, solid Easy install but poor instructions. Holds up well outside. Cheaper to buy this combo. Simple review, simple product.
