Yes. But if your wires are coming in through the hole in the back, it may be a tight fit and you will need the deeper version box 5385-0.

1 gang weatherproof cover? part number for this box?
Asked by: alarmgeorge
We have several options available ranging from blank covers, to flip covers, to while in-use covers. We carry both metallic and non-metallic versions for all except the flip covers. All of which will fit this enclosure. A versatile recommendation would be our ML500G.

weight capacity?

Asked by: Jay
there is no "weight capacity" per se, but it's not unlimited. It will take any single gang electrical device or a blank plate. other than that nothing should be mounted to or hung on it.

What is the procedure for removing external box and putting in one that is flush?

External box is now in an enclosed area and having it stick out is inconvenient. Threaded conduit is stickling out of wall. What is behind it to keep it in place and can that piece be easily removed once the wire is no longer inside of it?

Thank you for your inquiry on this product. To answer your question would be difficult as too many variables. All installations and renovations vary in some ways, and we recommend hiring qualified personnel for the job.

Customer Reviews

1 Gang Weatherproof Box with Three 1/2 in. Outlets is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product - Good Value Very nice waterproof box with (1) Outlet on the Bottom, (1) on the Back, and (1) on the Top. It comes with a couple of the plastic inserts to plug up the outlets you are not using. SIDE NOTE: I always save any extra inserts so I have some in the event I need an extra one or more next time (since they do not come with as many outlets as the boxes have). I have used various manufacturer threaded adapters and all have screwed in without any issue. The same can be said for the abundant options of waterproof covers. The boxes have also held up really well, even when exposed to daily sprinkler abuse. Always install the foam gasket, which comes with the cover you chose and make sure it is centered on the box. SIDE NOTE: It's a good idea to take the extra 10-20 seconds to ensure you are putting the screw through the proper hole in the gasket (since there are many) before attaching the cover to the box. Cheers!
