Customer Questions & Answers

Does your model #53763 replace your model #53285 and if so will the dimensions between the input and output pipes be the same? What are the center to

What are the center to center dimensions on the input and output pipes on valve # 53763?
Asked by: Jo5240
The 53285 has a Center-to-Center spacing of 3.375 (3 3/8) inches. The 53763 has a Center-to-Center spacing of 4.0 inches. The Irritrol 311A-.75 has a 3.0 inches center to center. It will fit easier than any other valve. Using two 45-degree fittings, you can accommodate the existing pipe with a valve that has increased spacing.

May be a dumb question, but how is the power supplied to the solenoid? Battery? AC?

My anti-siphon is leaking at the top and I assume the best thing to do is replace the whole thing, or is leaking a common problem and an easy fix?
Asked by: NotAHandyman
A leak with this Toro Anti-siphon valve can usually be fixed by taking apart the valve and cleaning, or replacing, the diaphragm (part #53804). If cleaning and a diaphragm replacement does not work, valve replacement may be required. In regards to how power is transferred to a valve solenoid, the solenoid is typically hard-wired to the irrigation controller and receives low-voltage signals to actuate the valve. However, there are battery operated devices with solenoids that can control an irrigation valve. These devices are controllers that attach to the valve.
