I'm sorry if this is a ridiculous question. I am an older woman and don't know much about these things. I have no garden hose water access on the side of my home this sprinkler apparatus is located on and since I need to replace this unit, I was wondering if there was an easy fix by finding a unit (if one exists) that includes a hose connection.

Answer:
If a small drip (<1 drop second) occurs at the cover, threads or other sealing areas. The PVB will still work as designed. The sealing area will most likely seal itself within 7-10 days. If it does not, please contact Toro Customer Support at 1-800-367-8676 for further assistance. Thank you.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by vacuum breaker This product is made of hardened plastic and when installed and maintained properly should last a long time. This vacuum breaker was installed for an outdoor backyard sprinkler system. In Massachusetts, a back flow valve is mandatory to prevent any outside water from entering your homes potable water system. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Replacing ours after 15 years This is a great product. With the harsh Indiana weather, 4 seasons ours lasted 15 years. I wouldn't be replacing it but there are two cracks in the housing. We got our monies worth and I chalk it up to the price of owning a home. June 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install this valve is very easy to install right out of the box. No tools needed, low maintenance easy to operate. May 3, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by easy to install, won't last You know I've been pretty happy with Toro stuff in general but I've gone through 3 of these now in 4 years and that's ridiculous. The first year we had a brief and unexpected freeze before I got the lines blown out so I took the blame for that one even though it wasn't a hard freeze and was brief. So, I tried it again but the 2nd time I got the lines blown out on schedule and spring 2011 the PVB was toast again blowing water out everywhere. So, this past winter, I not only blew it out, I unhooked it and brought it in the garage. Just hooked it up this week and this one is toast too. Going back to heavy duty metal that lasted me 15 years even surviving unexpected freezes. This thing is a cheap plastic housing and apparently has some pretty cheap internals as well. April 3, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to replace old valve Easy to install. needed to replace same make and model September 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonably priced We definitely needed to purchase this product because the one on our sprinkler system was leaking profusely. After pricing the product on the internet, I found that Home Depot had the best price. As to its performance, I couldn't say. It's exactly like the one I replaced, and that one lasted several years. I'm hoping this one will do the same. April 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by happy with purchase The valve was as described and easy to install. Direct replacement for what I had. June 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exact replacement for unit I already had. Original unit lasted about 12 years in hot, Florida weather, this unit is identical and works well. October 15, 2013
