Customer Questions & Answers

Can you use part of a roll and save the rest for another project?

Asked by: Carol
Not really The wrap comes sealed and has some kind of bonding agent on the wrap If this dries out it can't be used

Suitable for PVC pip leaks?

Previous homeowner joined white & black PVC pipe together at a T joint and now a few years later it's leaking at the joint. I'm not able to remove the joint & repair properly (no access), so will FiberFix be able to seal this joint so it doesn't leak?
Asked by: lewisd2
Yes the 1" wide should do a joint. Water or air pressure to 60 psi once it sets up. don't know your freedom of access but this stuff has to be wrapped tightly which means you need some space to put some leverage into your wrap.

Can Repair wrap be exposed to oil, water and heat?

I want to fix a crack in a plastic "lid" to a popcorn popper, which will be exposed to oil, heat, and water. The bottom of this "lid" comes in contact with the base, which has a heating element in it. To clean the lid, I will need to wash it in hot, soapy water. Is Repair Wrap up to this repair job?
Asked by: jhs
A FiberFix reply to a different question) provided the following information: FiberFix Heat Wrap withstands up to 850 degrees. The regular Repair Wrap withstands up to 300 degrees.

Can this be used on muffler tail pipe

Asked by: Cowboyloco2004
For a muffler tail pipe, we recommend buying our FiberFix Heat Wrap since it withstands up to 850 degrees. The regular Repair Wrap only withstands up to 300 degrees.

I recommend prepping everything first, getting in place, and putting on the gloves before putting the wrap into room temperature water so no time is wasted since you have a 3-5 minute window. It was very easy to apply, unlike those self-sticking silicone tapes, and began to harden after about 4 minutes. We let it cure for several hours and then slowly turned the water back on at the shut-off valve. I have already recommended it and will definitely use it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great Did not think this product would hold. I repaired the cracked shaft on my hockey stick. I have played 17 games on it so far and it is still as strong as when I first applied it. Great product. I will use it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stuff! I bought this in order to repair a cracked shovel handle. The instructions were straight forward. I read up on this stuff before I purchased it, so I knew I had to use it all the first time around. I probably should've bought the next size larger, as the 1 inch size roll didn't cover as much as I thought it would, but it served it's purpose. The repaired shovel has performed great so far! In fact, I'd say it's stronger now than before it cracked. This stuff was worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It REALLY works!! Broke a fiberglas handle on a pair of tree lopers. Got this stuff before trashing the lopers and let it set up for a day. Excellent fix, the lopers are chopping branches again. saw a three year shelf life on this package, I'm going back for a couple more for the next quick fix. Finally read the instructions, it says the item is useable in 15-20 minutes. see the videos, the instructions in the box are quite poor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! Got this for my teenage son for his Easter basket and he keeps asking me to get him more every time I go shopping, he tells me that it works great for all kinds of projects and fix-its. He loves this stuff.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Box is one-use This stuff is really great... just as strong as advertised. You need to activate the epoxy (?) by submerging the roll in water. The only Issue I have is you must use the entire box/roll. I really did not need all of the tape and wish there was a way to use just a portion of the roll and save the rest for a later use. All-in-all nice "fix" especially for emergencies.
