Asked by: jt
Yes, this product can be used for direct burial. The above advice is based upon the current edition of the National Electric Code (NEC). The NEC and local building codes regulate the types of wire and cable that can be used in specific electrical applications, as well as the manner of installation. If used in a direct burial application with water tight fittings, is there a need to us direct burial 12-2 (with ground) wire inside the conduit. Would 12-2 Romex suffice?

1 in. x 400 ft. Ultratite Flex Nonmetallic Conduit is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for my needs Appeared to be a quality buriable conduit that met Code for my application. Won't know if it lasts for many years. Much easier to install in old buried conduit "tunnel" than replacing again with rigid would have been. The tunnel was left when I pulled the old rusted conduit out horizontally. No trenching required!
