Customer Questions & Answers

Does fabric top go on and off easily if I did need to take it off due to a storm coming?

Asked by: PJC0821
No.. Takes 2 people, and ladder... Best bet for storms is to weigh it down...and screwing corner legs to deck

Bolted to concete?

Can the frame be bolted to concrete?
Asked by: Diamonds
Yes you can. You can get some metal straps and bolt the straps across the metal corner sections to a concrete patio if you wish. Or you can use the holes in the corner sections directly and try that way. The holes seem kind of small so the screws you would use would also be fairly small. I just used some tent tie-down pegs that I found at Walmart and anchored two of the corners to the soil. I used three pegs per section. The other two corners I just used tie down straps.

UV-resistant? UVA/UVB? Also, how is the canopy removed? Easily?

I know the canopy shields light, but is the canopy UV-resistant? UVA/UVB? Secondly, is it easy to remove the canopy to enjoy the sun when wanted?
Asked by: gazebolover
I don't think it's UV resistant, especially with the light colored canopy. The canopy attaches with velcro straps wrapping around the crossbeams. Haven't had any problem with the straps, but I wish that more straps had been included.

Does this get bolted down, how wind resistant is it?

Asked by: ellebelle
The only secure anchors this canopy has is a set of steel stakes that are about 8 inches long. We purchased an additional set of 12 inch stakes and they are holding well.

10 ft. x 10 ft. Masley EZ-Set Gazebo is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value Gazebo Easy to install, absolutely no tools needed save a hammer to pound in whatever stakes or pins you use to tie down the frame. Save for having a friend hold one end of the first rib for the top, I installed this gazebo by myself. It goes together very easy. Very well designed to be put together easily and it is. The material lays very taut and nice looking. Shortly after I installed it, we had about a 20 minute rain. Because the material fits nice and taut, it shed the water perfectly. A nice inexpensive way to have some shade and protection from the elements. I highly recommend this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value and even greater to assemble in no time. Very quick to assemble. Well made and great value. This replaces one that used a million screws and took forever to assemble. Would highly recommend this gazebo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice and sturdy- great value for the money We purchased this gazebo with concern that it would not be very sturdy. Surprisingly, the box weighed 88 lbs. and the metal corners were thicker than I expected. It was very easy to put together, but we took our time on the canopy so that it was not damaged when pulled tight. Overall, it looks great and has held up well in recent rain and windstorms. The ground stakes are cheap, not very reliable. We used our own stakes, and anchored the corners with decorated cinder blocks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from No extra parts available The Gazebo was everything we expected, and was a good value for the money. The reason I gave it only three stars was we had a very bad storm three days after putting up the Gazebo. It held together ok, but one piece ended up breaking in the storm. When I tried to call the number given for replacement parts, the company said they no longer had parts for that model. This is not necessarily Home Depot's fault, but I thought people should be made aware that this was the case.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible This product is cheap. It was rained on once and started caving in and holding water. Our old one by Hampton lasted 3 yrs. We've had this one 2 weeks and I'm ready to take it down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to put togther I was concerned after reading other reviews that this would be difficult to set up. That being said I invited 4 big guys over to my house for a backyard movie and asked them to help me set this up first. It only took about an hour total. (it would have been faster if we weren't all talking). I highly recommend 4 people to set it up as I think it would be difficult with only two. I've only had it up a week but I will be getting sandbags for the corners to help stabilize the canopy. If you can drill it into the ground that would be the best solution. While it looks sturdy I'm not sure it could withstand a big wind. I'm using bricks but I definitely think sand bags would help more.
