Assuming all of the sides are flush. I want to build a fire pit, and I need to know the inside diameter of the ring so I can build an insert.

How do I cut the blocks in half?

I laid the blocks in a half circle. How do I cut the blocks to even off the two ends of the half circle?

Yes, there are several methods discussed on YouTube. I've done it, but preferred to use masonry saw and grinder. It really depends on desired finish.

Can I get the cap blocks for these blocks?

Asked by: 75dm2
I've ran into the same problem. Home Depot doesn't show any information about manufacturer and manufacturer product number this sucks. I've spent a lot of time tracing it down. So this block is a part of the product marketed by Pavestone as "Anchor™ Windsor Stone® Retaining Wall System" with product number 811. Caps are sold as product called "Windsor Stone® Wall Cap" with product #814. Just look at Pavestone website for the list of distributors and order through them.

I have taken care to make sure there is a base under the ground block with a level gravel foundation. I am presently using them to produce a patio with a 30 foot wall by 32 inch high. This effort again has a gravel 2 inch base and gravel backing 24 inches high and an average 12 inch width. I have the complete confidence this structure will last for a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Retaining Block Wall Obviously a solid, concrete block with a 3/4" to 1" lip at the bottom. This has been the iconic shape forvacretaining block for years and works like a charm. I've never built such a retaining wall (only 4 tiers high) and it was rather easy to carry and stack. Used no mortar and only the compacted soil from behind made this a wonderful addition to our home as a planter wall. Will also use these, 1 tier high, as tree surrounds for our fruit trees!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Caps (for this color) are NOT sold in store! Blocks are OK-ish. Caps (for this color) are NOT sold in store! I built a wall and went back to the store for caps only to find out Home Depot doesn't sell caps in this color (pewter gray). @manufacturer -> Pavestone -> what is your code number for caps so I could order it?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my great wall and my water sanctuary I bought my house and it has an ugly hill in the back. I started building the walls four years ago under the heat of the Georgia summer. I cant help but admire the outcome our hard labor and patience. My neighbors and friends always come to the house to see the progress of the wall. I even built a koi pond in the front yard and flower bed along the side of the house for my azaleas. I am still buying this blocks right now due to ongoing huge patio project I am doing right now. The associates of my Home Depot store already knew me due to multiple trips there and they are very helpful to me. Hope you enjoy my post.

D Red Concrete Wall Block is a simple way to upgrade the look of your yard. First, clear a ring of grass and cut out some dirt. 2nd compact dirt and add about 2+ inches sand an compact this. 3rd start by leveling the first row of blocks. After first row is complete and level, work on second row which should be glued. Smallest ring I got was with 10 stones about 2 foot diameter.

It was easy to stack and level. The color is throughout and not limited to the surface. The only draw back in my experience was the surface of some blocks crumble too easily, it felt as if the block was completely molded. However, there will be debris when working with concrete products. Overall, this is a great product and I recommend it, it drains well and lock in tight.

Overall very happy with this product, although a few had parts of the locking lip on the bottom broken off in places. Still plenty left to "lock" them in place from pushing forward. Would buy again, in fact I already have! Bought on-line and had delivered, which was fast, and placed right where I wanted them. Really don't think you'll be disappointed with this product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not quite A little disappointed as the dimensions of this block is slightly smaller than older blocks that I already had. The color doesn't match the older block but that could be due to fading or the same color is no longer made. The slight size difference is really why I gave it a 3 star review. Why did they need to alter? Hopefully not to force folks to buy all new, instead of adding to the old size. Hopefully the size difference between the older and new bricks doesn't affect the structural integrity of the wall after I backfill it.
