We have 50 fixtures with older ballasts and want to install this ballast and gradually change all out.
They are inside a VFW Hall and the existing fixtures are on dimmer switches...

Will this ballast work with dimmers?
If not, what would you recommend?
thanks

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by exact match for the original The original Lithonia fixture had a ACCUPRO brand ballast for the T8-4 lamp. The GE Pro Line T8-4 ballast from Home Depot was an exact replacement with a 9.5" hole alignment for securing to the fixture. It was an easy change out and fixed the light for a third of the cost of a new lighting fixture August 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fit and worked like orginal with no modifications Removed o;d ballast and new one fit in its place properly, no wire splicing needed as wires were long enough to reach all points July 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by easy to install and it got the job done needed wire nuts to complete the job. They were not included. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked as directed. This replaced a similar one I had previously. There was some wiring difficulties as the fixture was not wired like this ballast but through trial and error I got all 4 lights lit again. Just be aware it may not be a simple drop-in replacement depending on the fixture. June 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fixed my non-working light. My ballast in my 4 year old T-8 light stopped working after some bad weather passed through and our power went out. I pulled the cover off and searched Home Depot's website for the ballast number, ordered online and picked up within the hour. About 15 minutes after I arrived back home my light was working perfectly again. Easy install and easy purchase. June 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient Nice to be able to pick up replacement parts so close to home. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Good Reasonable Ballast Easy to install. Very easy to install according to picture on the Ballast But you have to disregard the Colors of the wires and just go with the Diagram on the Ballast. March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Needed the ballast for an after hours repair Found the item on the internet for a damaged fixture during an after hours job. Was able to locate exzact location and reduced the time spent acquiring it. It is a little more expensive than the local electrical suppliers. March 15, 2016
