Answer:
They are very much structural. They should not be removed unless you replace with something else similar mounted a little lower if they are in your way

Hi Rob,
The plastic pieces are designed to reinforce the cabinet, they should be left in place. They will not interfere with the installation of the counter top.

Answer:
There are panels that you can buy and put on the outside/end of the cabinet. The same panels can be used for the toe boards.

Answer:
Changing the opening is easy. There are two screws holding the hing on to the face board. Remove the screws, turn the door around, (which is actually upside down from what it was) and put it back on. Make sure you line up the door so it covers the opening.

I need two of these doors to replace a door in a 24" base cabinet like this one. The door opens too wide; I would like to replace it with two smaller doors like these.

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad for the price Easy adjust hinges on the door, and a very small shelf in the back of the cabinet that is hard to reach. The drawer seems well built. April 20, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to finish This cabinet was easy to finish with little prep. Accurate measurements made for easy install. The drawer works great and can easy be removed and put back in. I was pleasantly surprised to see a half shelf within this cabinet adding to storage capacity. Great for flat baking pans to stand on edge. March 16, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sturdy at a great price Very easy to finish the cabinet yourself, even easier to install. good starter project for novice Carpenter. December 30, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Flimsy The only hard wood is the door and front trim, everything else is a cheap particle board. The hardwood panels in the doors rattle around and the trim is so roughly cut that some areas could not be sanded out and had to be filled. When picking them up, we had to sift through multiple cabinets in order to find one that was not beaten or busted. Even after that, we got them home to find some of the pieces such as the back mounting rails were missing. My advice is to buy something else, but if you do go with them, CAREFULLY inspect every one. We did our entire kitchen in them so time will tell if they hold up but we are not expecting much. May 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 12x34.5x24 in. Base Cabinet with in Unfinished Oak filled a space under my counter top, looks good, easy to install. September 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do Not Buy These Buyer beware. You get what you pay for on these. I bought two of the 36" base cabinets and 2 of the 12" base cabinets to make a craft center in my home. They started falling apart before they were even unloaded. I tried to take off the doors to paint them, but the screws were stripped. Someone noted glue was showing on theirs, but I'm pretty sure no glue was even used on mine. One of the 36" base cabinets came completely apart into four pieces. One drawer on a 12" cabinet won't shut all the way. One drawer on a 12" cabinet is warped on the front. I picked up a 36" drawer and it fell apart in my hand, before I even used it! I'm sure they won't last long at all. Spend a little bit more money and get something nicer. If I could give them 0 stars I would! September 17, 2014
