Answer:
This model is strictly human powered. It has a little switch on the left hand side near the handle that you have to push in, and pull up on the lever at the same time. The level must be pulled up (held in place with your hand while mowing) at all times to keep the blades going. Once you release the lever, the mower shuts off.

Answer:
It works great going uphill. As I mentioned in my review, the front of the mower is somewhat lightweight and too much leaning on the handle at the back raises the front affecting your height level for the cut. Down hill you have to be more careful.

This model should handle OK on hilly areas. My yard is not hilly, but there are some areas where the lawn is uneven (more of a dip in lawn level vs, gradual hills) and with a little maneuvering it cuts the grass OK.

It's very lightweight, and while I haven't used it on hills it's weight is not going to pull it down if done sideways. Pushing it uphill shouldn't be a problem at all.

I would not suggest using the mower (or any mower really) on wet grass. The mower comes with a leaf / lawn clippings bag. I have owned this mower for over 1 month and used it at least 4-6 times. Answer:
I have only cut damp grass once. As you might expect, I needed to empty the bag more frequently as I would have with any mower. This is not an industrial strength mower. It is a good product for micro small yards which are well maintained.

Answer:
Everything I've read about it in the instructions say not to use it on wet grass. It's not because it will short it, mostly because wet grass doesn't cut well. The blade's RPM is slower than gasoline from what I've noticed, so that is probably a culprit.

If you just take it slow the mower will do fine. I ran mine thru grass that was six inches high and it did great. Just keep in mind that it is a small, somewhat low powered mower.

No lawn mower, including gas mowers, works as well on wet grass. The wet grass will tend to build up under the mower affecting the cutting.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 421 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect cordless electric mower for small yards! I read many of the other reviews on this mower, and we have not had any of the problems cited in the less than stellar reviews. it's very light, small, quiet, has a great turn radius, cuts easily and the bag catches everything. It's perfect for the typical tiny lawns in the city. October 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great Hi I was tired of gas mower breaking down. This electric mower works great. Battery lasts for Close to an hour and I get it all done October 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I needed I needed a small, light mower to help with areas the riding mower can't reach that are too big for me to easily cut with my Worx weedeater. This works well. September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lightweight and efficient I gave 5 stars but I have not had time I have not had time to use regarding the quality ,but I expect that quality will be near the top compared to other brands ..This little mower is light weight ,easy to work around small areas in your yard and you need very little space to store it. The battery is removed to charge and slips back in with no problem . There have been some reviews about the batteries but from a few years of using lithium batteries , you need to follow instructions and charge after each use if it longer then a very short time .Also for the winter it is necessary to charge them approx once a month to full charge and they should last a rather long time. I understand the battery is some what like a car battery but is sealed so it drains very slow ,but will drain in not cared for correctly. It does not have a memory like NiCad batteries ,so it should always charge to full with each charge. However like everything else it will die at some time in the future. September 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great small mower We had little difficulty assembling this mower. It is light and easy to use. My husband used it once - It charged relatively quickly - but required a second charge to finish mowing our small lawn - front & back. We love that it takes up so little room in our garage. It cut very well. To be more accurate we will have to have more experience using it. September 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by UPDATE my second review on this WORX mower Used it TWICE; had to keep adjusting the blade....it hits the inner section SOMEWHERE making a very loud noise......adjusted it over and over again. SECOND USE the WHEELS keep falling off. I have now been on the phone with WORX customer service since JUNE ( its September now ) NIGHTMARE. NEVER buying anything from this company again. September 6, 2016
