The SDS says to avoid contact with non-ferrous metals, so I wouldn't use it on there. It has a small amount of ammonia, which may corrod aluminum

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 21 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I needed I am in an 80,000 sq. ft. entertainment venue with a full kitchen, 5 full bars and . very big walk-ins. All totaled I have about 50 fan coil units and many small bar and line fridges some on the same line with triple tank fryers. This products reduces the PM of these units to two days work, easily cutting the fryer grease. Exactly what I need. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worked in a pinch Doesn't work as good as others I have used. Won't be purchasing again August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than expected, much better Melted what seemed to be oily sticky dust, washed off with spray bottle filled with water. Used in inside side of split system. This is good stuff. July 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Performed better than expected After reading some of the bad reviews on this product, I was a bit reluctant to purchase it. The local store was showing the AC-Safe product was in stock, but turned out that was not true (also read this on another review - must be a consistent issue). I used the product on my interior coils on which the filter lays against and that cleaning process was pretty seamless. I rinsed the coil grate using a spray bottle of water (worked great) then let it dry while I worked on the exterior coils. Once I had the exterior panels off of the exterior unit, I found several inches of grass clippings at the bottom and a good 1/4" of dirt and grass clippings on the coils (I have a Trane unit from 1996). I applied the product to the exterior of the coils and had a little left for the interior. I waited about 5 minutes and began rinsing it off. I also used a stainless steel 3-Sided Grill Brush to help loosen the muck which helped greatly. The hardest part was re-attaching the panels. The total time to clean the inside and exterior coils was just over an hour. This was my first time doing this and it wasn't that hard. The only recommendation I have is if you are going to clean a 10-seer unit, have at least 3 or 4 cans. After applying it for a few seconds, I had to shake the can again to get it to continue foaming. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job, just not well First time utilizing this specific brand of coil cleaner. I rated it fair because it does its job just not all that well. The coil was really not all that dirty (have seen much worse). This product does the job just not as well as others I have used. The coil cleaner required over 3 coats. Ultimately I spent more time and more money (more product) than if I just purchased a competitors. After hitting the coil 3 times with the cleaner and hot water via a pump sprayer, I was finally able to get a clean A-Coil. If you're in a pinch like I was purchased this product and buy an extra can just in case. If you are not in a pinch and can purchase another brand I would recommend that you do so. September 10, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth a dime The only reason I'm giving this 1 star is because there is not a zero. It is about the same as clear water. I used my wife's bathroom Scrubbing Bubbles after using this can and it cleaned ten times more off of the a/c coils outside. After spraying with this can and letting set for 5 minutes I rinsed the coils and the water coming off was clear. Do not waste your money. November 20, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok Cleaner... Hoped for something better Cleans ok, the cans don't go very far... Needed 6 cans do complete my entire ac condenser. The spray foams too much prior to getting in the coil. This doesn't allow the cleaner to get into the nooks and cranny of the condenser. On the plus side its a water based cleaner so you don't have to worry about the cleaner being too aggressive on sensitive parts and yourself. August 6, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just a bunch of meh. . . I'm giving this three stars because it did do the job, but I think it could be better. The only reason why I purchased this was because my first preference, AC Safe Air Conditioner Coil Cleaner, was out of stock at my Home Deport location although the stock inventory on the website said otherwise. Anyways. . . . my main strike against this item is how much usage you get out of the can. It's not much. I purchased two cans thinking that one would take care of the outside unit and the other to take care of the coils inside the house. Nope, it took both cans just to cover the outside unit alone and I wasn't able to spray the inside fins, just the outer fins. It did the job in that I saw dirt being removed and I was able to see the coils through the fins for the first time in years so I'll give it that but I feel that it should provide better coverage from the can. If you do plan on purchasing this for both your outside unit and the coils inside, I say purchase eight cans for a unit that covers an approx. 2100 sq. ft. house. Four for the fins on the outside and inside and the remaining balance for the coils inside. August 12, 2015
