Is there a quick connect feature or do you just wrap cord wires around screws?

No. Remove 1 1/4 inch of outer insulation from cord carefully Strip the insulation off each wire 5/8 of inch. Insert the ground (green) into the hole below the green screw then tighten the screw. Next the white wire below the silver screw and tighten. Last the black or red wire (hot) below the brass screw and tighten. Fold cover closed, if cover does not close remove insert and try again. Then tighten Read More

Thank you for your question regarding Pass & Seymour 15-Amp 125-Volt Yellow Grip Plug(Model # PS5965YCC15).
The Self-hinge swings wide open to make quick, wire termination easy. Insert conductors into the proper terminals and tighten terminal screws; close hinge housing around cord and tighten housing screws. Enclosed terminals provide solid, internally-clamped connections, so no need to wrap wire.

There isn't a quick connect feature on these (only some 2 prong versions), but you'll need to safely connect the wires to its respective terminals.
Each screw is color coded to match your wires. If your wires are color coded as well this will make matching easier, but if not, you'll need to know what each wire is.

The brass screw in the plug is for the hot, or black wire. The silver screw is for the neutral, or white wire, and the green screw terminal is for...you guessed it, the green or bare wire on the wire.
Wire it up like this, and make sure none of the wires are touching others, and you can have a safe connection once it is put together properly.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by YELLOW GRIP PLUG WORKS WELL IT WAS EASY TO ATTACH THIS PLUG TO MY POWER CORD. IT WORKS WELL AND I MANAGED TO SAVE MY 100 FT. FLAT EXTENSION CORD. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty easy For someone who knows nothing about this kind of stuff, it was pretty easy to put together. I did have to go into their website for a little more info. But I didn't know that much about this kind of thing May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to attach One thing that I dislike is the price. After you buy one end or both the overall cost is not at times close to a new cord. I like this style due to the ease of putting it back together. The other model where you have to screw it in from the backside is a pain. Just make sure that you use a good screwdriver with a good tip. April 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This plug is easy to wire. This plug is almost indestructible. Ran it over with a forklift, no damage. March 28, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice price, but... In the past I have purchased probably ten or so of these 3-prong, male cord bodies. The issue I have with them is there is no space allowed for the cord to enter the plug body itself. In the past I have always used a Dremel tool to grind away on the plastic clamp in order to make an opening for the 3-wire cord (16 ga.) to pass thru so I could clamp the cord body back together again. If you're up to doing that, as I have been until now... then sure, it works. But I'm tired of spending an extra 10 minutes to make an opening for the cord to enter so it can be clamped securely to the plug body. As it is, it's a poor design and I will have to pay more money for a 3-wire plug body that I don't have to fiddle with in order to install a round, 3-wire cord into. January 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice and simple Nice and simple and easy to install. Works great for a replacement in my space heater. February 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great replacement simple and economical replacement for a plug. holds the cable strong and makes a repair easy. Great product will recommend October 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bulky and Safe Function over form here. This is definitely made for replacing the splitting molded plug at the end of your extension cord; nothing else, which is fine. If you want a low profile but safe assembly, then this is not the plug because it's too bulky and ugly for a permanent wall plug. I don't think the engineers have come out with a replacement plug that can be safely assembled like this one but streamlined and compact afterwards...js March 25, 2015
