Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 22 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by light weight. i doubt its life span looks good but i am doubting its integrity after one season. I would not buy more until i test its ability to stand up over more than a year, especially if i have to move it during the year. October 29, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I was Hoping For! Barrel is made of wood and plastic. I thought it would have metal bands holding the barrel together. The bottom of the barrel was also made of plastic. Maybe the plastic will last longer. I should have read the description of what materials were used to make the barrel planter. The price was good for what it was. Hoping the plastic will last longer then a wooden bottom. Its my own fault. it will work. it was also smaller then I thought I would be. I didn't read over the dimensions either. I need to read more. December 10, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by POOR ONLINE DESCRIPTION I bought this barrel and 2 of the other barrels labeled "medium." There was no volume information given, and the dimensions were not at all helpful as it turned out in guesstimating whether the barrels were, in fact, the sizes I needed. They were not. They were all hugely too big. And it's a shame because it resulted in tons of extra time and work for me, for an online agent who was incrediibly helpful in finding a store that sent one of its store supervisors to my home to pick them up and for that store. So not only were they not okay, they would have been for anyone who had not been planning to make a very designed garden arrangement. They were not at all suitable for my little Christmas cacti plants and one for a couple of lavender plants. June 18, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor construction. Poor construction. Boards aren't on tight. Very wobble. Will have to glue individual slats in pot to make it more sturdy. April 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I love Cedar WHEN YOU FIRST OPEN THE PACKAGE AND PULL OUT THE PLANTER, IT APPEARS TO BE VERY LOSE. BUT WHEN YOU READ THE '''DIRECTIONS""" IT TELLS YOU THAT IT IS BUILT THAT WAY AND IT WILL ""STURDY UP"" ONCE IT IS FILLED WITH SOIL AND YOUR PLANT. I HAVE NOT YET PLANTED MY HIBISCUSS DWARF TREE IN THIS BUT I AM CERTAIN THAT IT WILL BE GREAT. IT LOOKS GREAT AND I LOVE THE SMELL OF CEDAR. August 12, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by The planter is attractive. I just got this barrel so I don't know how well it will hold up in the rainy season but it looks nice. But the metal support strips are so skimpy and narrow that I'm not sure if over time they will be able to hold the wooden slats together when the barrel is filled. Also I should have gotten a caddy to move this because it's very heavy when full. I do appreciate American made though but they could do a better job building these. Time will tell how durable this is. October 16, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice addition to our patio We bought two of these barrels. They are smaller than I had hoped, but that's my fault for not taking the measurements from the web site and testing them in the spot I had planned for them. The color of the barrels varies and since I ordered online I wasn't able to match them, but the differences aren't too bothersome. The drainage holes at the bottom are a nice feature. The barrels are now planted with 6-8 annuals and are filling in nicely. I think over time they will develop a nice patina. May 14, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Durable They are nice but loose and the metal straps rust and eventually break. Now I have my huge, beautiful banana plant sittings in a barrel that is falling apart. So back to trying to transplant it to a more durable barrel. October 12, 2014
