Can this be put behind a electric stove for a back splash?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello Natalie! Thank you for your question! Even though the backsplash panels are fire-retardant, they can be deformed by excessive heat (over 140 degrees Fahrenheit). The panels can be installed above or behind most stoves. Be sure to keep direct heat sources – toaster ovens, cooking burners, etc., a minimum of 3 inches away from the backsplash panel’s surface.

How do you handle the corners when applying this backsplash?

When you get to the corner, do you just cut the piece? But how do you make it look right?
Asked by: Anonymous
SWARTZ, IF YOU ARE REFERRING TO AN INSIDE CORNER THEY HAVE AN EXISTING MATCHING CORNER MOLDING THAT AFTER YOU CUT THE EDGE SLIDES INTO IT FROM BOTH DIRECTIONS AND IT IS GLUED IN THE SAME FASHION AS THE BACKSPLASH. IF YOU ARE REFERRING TO AN OUTSIDE CORNER WE USED THE EXISTING WALL MOLDING LOOSENED IT, NOTCHED FOR ANY PRE-EXISTING NAILS AND TAPPED IT BACK WHEN WE WERE FINISHED. IF NEITHER OF THESE WILL WORK FOR YOU,YOU MIGHT SEE IF THE AVAILABLE J-STRIP MOLDING INSTALLED ON EACH OF THE EDGES WOULD LOOK GOOD. HOPE THIS HELPS. IF NOT PLEASE SPECIFY YOUR QUESTION. GOOD LUCK.

what are directions for using Fasade decorative wall tile?

They ran out of instructions at the Santa Clarita Home Depot
Asked by: Anonymous
Hello Midge! Thank you for your question! The installation guide for the Fasade backsplash panels can be downloaded at www.fasadeideas.com. Before starting make sure all surfaces are clean, dry, smooth, and free from dust, grease, wax, etc. Lightly sand any glossy surfaces to remove sheen. We recommend using the PL Premium tube adhesive for installation. Please feel free to contact customer care for additional installation troubleshooting 800.434.3750.

I want to use tradional 1--Bermdua Bronze backsplash with my new cupboards. Should I get the 2'X4' or 18"X24" . The counter is 104"

If we cut the big pieces will they connect securely and be able to keep the design?
Asked by: Anonymous
Hello Lizzie. That is a great question! The 18' x 24' decorative panels were designed with a 1/4" overlapping lip on the top and right side specifically for backsplash installation. We normally do not recommend using the 2' x 4' ceiling panels for your backsplash because of the difference in how they overlay. The seam will be less prominent with the 18' x 24' panels. Feel free to call our customer care line for additional installation tips at 800-434-3750.

Can I get this product in 24in. x 24in. ?

Asked by: Anonymous
Hello Jerry! Thank you for your question! The decorative backsplash panels are only available in 18" x 24", although you can choose to special order a 4' x 8' wall panel with your local store associate if you are looking for a larger panel. Via special order, the direct apply Fasade ceiling panels are available in 24" x 24" but will have a different overlapping lip around the perimeter of the panel. Please feel free to contact customer care at 800.434.3750 for any questions or installation troubleshooting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! I installed this product and it looks great. It took about 3 1/2 hours due to needing to cut it to fit the area I was working with. I would recommend that you paint under the cabinets and over the counter with the darkest color in the backsplash as the directions suggest. This will ensure that you don't have any obvious spaces showing in the event you cutting is a little uneven. I used the polyurethane adhesive instead of the double sided tape. It holds great! Overall I'm very satisfied with the product and the installation was not complicated. I would recommend this to any one looking to update the look of their kitchen!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A few challenges, but beautiful. I used these as a border in my bathroom, and they were relatively easy to put up. If you don't live 5 minutes away from a Home Depot that has all the accessories in stock, go ahead and order everything you might need, then return what you don't. I made 4 trips in 12 hours - to pick up the tiles & tape, to get adhesive because the tape didn't work, to get j-trim pieces because the panels weren't quite as easy to cut as I hoped and I had to disguise some ragged edges, and to get corner trim pieces because I realized that would finish out the look. I had a party a couple of weeks after completing the project and got lots of compliments. [I don't know why the photo is uploading sideways - sorry!]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy & inexpensive way to refresh an ugly backsplash I have used these panels at 2 homes now in the kitchen as an easy and inexpensive way to refresh the backsplash. The new house needs a new kitchen but that's a few years away and I needed to cover up the current ugly tile backsplash right away. With a few hours, no demo of the tile underneath and basic tools (scissors, measuring tape & caulk gun) my old backsplash was transformed! It's important to plan the area before you start cutting & also realize that the underside of the cabinets probably aren't square/even so a cardboard template can be helpful. Since I've used both now, I think that using the loctite adhesive to stick the tiles to the wall gives you a nicer final look than the double sided tape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magnificent I bought this product on line and when it arrived I wasn't too sure how it was going to look. When you see something on line and say wow looks great your always taking a chance on what it looks like when you get it home. After my husband put it up which took no time at all , it looks even better than I could have imagined . We also received it quicker than expected. Thank you for a great experience all the way around :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my back splash! Very easy to install with great results. My husband and I were having a difficult time deciding on a back splash. We had looked at many different tiles and none of them seemed to be the right thing for pulling our kitchen together. We then discovered "facade" at home depot and we were sold. We purchased the cracked copper and are very happy with the end result. It adds a very warm feeling to our kitchen. We are going to purchase the matching ceiling panels to install over the island area of the kitchen. I have recommended this product to friends of ours who are looking to do or update a back splash area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great and Extremely Easy to Install! Installation of this backsplash was amazingly simple and looks fantastic! I did it myself in an afternoon with basic tools: tape measure, pencil, scissors, razor knife and glue. Because the panels are relatively flat, there was no concern about the depth of my electrical outlets and switches. No need to call in an electrician to make changes! I am very pleased as this backsplash gave my kitchen the "WOW" it was missing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this stuff!! We bought this stuff to put in our kids' playhouse. It looks really cool in there with the blue/grey accents and under mount lighting. Looks like a million bucks. It wipes off easily and was easy for my husband to install. He applied the border edges as well and that really added the finishing touch. He applied it very "permanently" with glue (although you can use other ways to adhere it). It won't be coming off anytime soon! We purchased it in store, but noticed they have so much more to choose from on line as well. We bought the smoked pewter and it ended up being the perfect color to accent everything else in there. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a great look for a fraction of the cost for a backsplash, accent or even ceiling.
